It already seems worse since the Discotek preorder discount is lower on the CR store than the RS store previously. With GA, I believe Discotek preorders were 40% off plus still eligible for coupon codes and now at the CR store, with the 10% promo or sub discount, the CR store has them at 33% off.

I know the policy wasn't in place then but if it were, my December 2022 order wouldn't ship until the end of November 2023. That's pretty ridiculous considering when I ordered it, the original date was what, March? Having my entire order be held back because of a 8 month delay would be maddening.

I have a preorder up for Gurren Lagann 4K. It's normal JP pricing, 10.8k yen (~£59) I expect English subs on Anthem, SAO: Ordinal Scale, and Heaven's Feel since the JP BDs had them. Gurren Lagann is already confirmed to have English subs. Everything else will be hard to say, hopefully they do...

New arrivals! Sentai mystery box was pretty crap unfortunately, I'm legit annoyed they sent Tsurune, which is still available on their storefront, when all the items were supposed to be OOP.

You mean with an initial release date of April next year then delayed twice and actually releasing in December. 😝

It's one of my favorites as well. Unfortunately the DVD Aniplex of America version bombed hard so we're almost certainly never seeing the BD version that was released in Japan. Luckily the price wasn't bad and it came with the store exclusive storage box, which I'm always a sucker for.

Regular Edition. It was significantly cheaper since a lot of people were just interested in the serial code then sold off the otherwise untouched box set. I couldn't justify paying another 10,000 yen just for the extras, of which only the soundtrack was really nice.

Not just sales in general but specifically, preorders and sales within the first 2-3 months of release. Those are the highest margin windows and if sales are dismal, then it really doesn't bode well for the future.
