Sorry to bring-up an old post but haven't had much time recently to go exploring all the comments :D
My reasoning for disliking FMP UE was a multitude things and of course price was a factor. I have no issues about spending a high price to receive a premium product but with FMP UE i just didnt...
Rice Digital currently have a 10% Site-Wide Discount taking place (and it includes pre-orders).
Simply use the code RICE10 at the checkout and you will save 10% off your order.
Few highlights include:
Maid Sama - Part 1 and 2 (DVD) - £12.59 each
Persona 4: Disco Fever Edition (PS Vita) -...
Some of the items have a higher 'international' postage fee attached to them.
For instance Karu, Gundam 00 - Season 1, .hack//roots, Gundam - Part 2 and a few other 'fatpack' DVD sets will charge you $22 postage (or something along that line)... where as half-season sets, and the artbox with...
Rice Digital are now stocking a wider selection of anime, especially from Anime Limited and Animatsu Ent, and are offering competitive prices compared to other retailers.
For instance Maid Sama Part 1 and Part 2 are just £13.99 each (both of which are currently £19.99 each on Amazon UK).
I too have ordered Fate/Kaleid from the All The Anime Shop and received nothing as of yet. Last item i ordered from them was SAO II - Part 1; but i can't remember if i got a dispatch notice (although i know it arrived quickly).
My original plan was to have the videos uploaded on the same day as the panels; but combination of not enough time, slow internet at the hotel and other arrangements led me to waiting till Monday to post the videos (along with the articles).
I was also going to record the Koyama Panel but it...
I'm on front row with arms (slightly) folded and inbetween Japanese guy with Love Live T-Shirt and Guy with Blue Jumper on :D
You may also notice my phone (which is how i recorded the panels) on a camera tripod as well :)
As I pointed out on twitter no-one at MangaUK / Fetch noticed the error and no-one who received the check / sample discs noticed it either. (including myself - although I haven't watched any Naruto Shippuden check discs other than the movies).
What's also quite baffling is how did the BBFC rate...
MVM's PR is non-existent and they rarely use social media. At the time of that tweet (with the infographic) A Lull in the Sea was on course for a 24th August 2015 release date but for whatever reason the set was delayed and nothing was mentioned (other than a change on their sites listings).
I...
The release of Love Live is slightly different; its Blu-ray release will be dual-audio where as the DVD is subtitled only... so if the DVD sells poorly its obvious that people were not only waiting for the BD upgrade but because they (may have) wanted an English Dub as well.
Its basically...
Interestingly enough despite ordering items in bunches (like groups of two but under the customs limit) one of my items from Amazon.it (sold via Rarewaves) arrived today; namely Tenchi Muyo Movie Collection.
So three surprises; firstly the item had no customs declarations or markings on it (so...
For those interested I've uploaded MangaUK/Animatsu Panel and Anime Limited's Panel to Youtube.
I also live-streamed the Q&A for MangaUK/Animatsu Panel and part of Anime Limited's Panel on UStream during the panels themselves; but you can re-watch them online.
Obviously if I had more hands I...
Is it an upscale or is it HD-Native? either-way after watching the first three episodes it looks just as good as I had hoped it would.
---EDIT----
I've posted an unboxing over on AnimeBlurayUK for anyone that's interested in seeing what it looks like in more detail.
This sounds exactly like what Amazon US do for in-stock items (i.e. they will charge you postage and collect the customs upfront); but at least in this system the items will be received within 3-4 days - which is a speedy service.
I too also purchased the H.O.T.D Collectors Edition from Amazon.it and I also received the e-mail to say the order had been cancelled (despite an e-mail sent yesterday saying it was dispatched)
Interestingly enough I also ordered Battle Girls Time Paradox, Tenchi Muyo Movie Collection, Tenchi...
Probably worth mentioning that the Blu-rays include the OVA episode (which was not available on DVD); furthermore the DVD version of Elfen Lied was released at a 'high price' (compared to other anime titles at the time) but it was quickly reduced to - at this point - around £18
I can't remember finding it at MCM Manchester; but I found it at MCM London (May) and they only had a handful of imported titles; majority of which were S.A.V.E Editions
