Handy to know on that - hence why I wasn't sure :)! Had a feeling the answer lay somewhere on Twitter...point remains on mileage varying there based on price gap - does explain why ours is cheaper there too then :).
It's a fair point that it's a chunky price for any title either way! Also worth highlighting that both like-for-like and cost-for-cost you won't find Gundam Seed any cheaper in HD in the UK on launch. Right now the US pre-order price is $224.99 (£172.59 at today's rate), then shipping to the UK...
Will have news for folks over the coming months on all of those - but they're all underway and will have releases in 2020, as will Demon Slayer Yaiba Part 1.
We've been reshuffling our system on announcements and scheduling as you can tell and now we've got things a bit calmer internally you'll...
Thought between meetings today I'd swing by and point out a few things on reprints etc:
1. Reselling (overall): If anyone is buying the 4K to resell, I'm unsure how they expect to make money on it. All the other parts are available elsewhere still on sale across the world for starters...
The reason one is announced for the US so far and not the UK is purely that they are very physical retail driven still for bigger scale shows (which B is). So they have to be listed early in short - like all our Ultimates we have a standard edition planned for the UK too, it’s just not been...
Whoops was part way through this when I uploaded clearly! The issue here is delivery to national broadcasters doesn't necessarily follow the usual specs - fear not though, while dub access is the only way to get it just now there, there will be other ways over the coming months so stay tuned...
Hey hey!
Sorry been working my way through comments as the day has allowed here. The annual membership will come with a 10% off purchases on the shop - it can't be stacked on top of any other voucher but is otherwise unrestricted on any shop purchase so it applies to Early Bird's, normal...
In fairness to that - if we're talking about Wakanim it was a different beast for a few reasons. Firstly that was orientated as a platform for simulcasting and secondly while we were fronting things, effectively it was a partnership and our role was a supporting one, helping supply the service...
It's a glitch - bit not the one you think it is I am afraid! It's not a VAT issue but a currency exchange one (I can see exactly why you'd think otherwise because I assumed the same at first) but no, it's a mad one. Tweaked it and it should be more in-line now but give me a prod if not there...
Thanks for signing up! Can't wait to show you what we have coming up too - duly noted on the suggestion there too, we're keeping things in mind as this isn't necessarily the final form of the site and it'll very likely evolve over time :).
Enjoy the test run of Promare too :D.
Andrew
I think it's a fair point that the gap is a little wider from theatrical to start here than it will always be - it's still up before home video and there is no other legal way to watch it in the UK just now so does give a way to let fans join in the discourse legally online due to the AU...
If it serves a purpose of keeping people connected to anime film & engaging socially about it - I'll be very happy! That said - our goal isn't to replace cinemas. One of the biggest complaints I get on film comes mostly in two flavours:
1) Distance: There's nowhere screening the film near me...
Depends on the materials available really - but we'd like to do something nice for it ideally! Within reason given the long run of the series mind you. All hinges on what assets we get, so we'll see...
Chances are pretty likely on Castlevania S2 sooner rather than later and not bad for March S2, just a case of not the right time at the moment here.
Euphonium is a bit more of a complicated one though - not impossible and we'd love to but it's tougher atm.

Also found it here, it's definitely stuff we'd look to revise assuming we're allowed (can't see why not but you never know!) Hang tight and we'll definitely be looking into it :).

Nobody owns the rights on those UK-side, it's the licensor itself putting them up there :)! But I am super interested in all things The Woman Called Fujiko Mine, it's the series that brought me back to Lupin after Cagliostro actually so I'd be very on for something with them. Nothing to talk...
As a licensee we are only able to use what has been cleared for international rights and when it comes to Welcome to the Ballroom it's worth pointing out we used every single asset we were able to get ahold of.
It remains the only version of the series out there in the world so to call it lazy...
