Stand Alone Complex #3 brought forward

really depends on what anchor bay are going to be willing to shell out cash on. between ADV, MVM & BEEZ we already have a lot of the cream of the crop of titles making there way over here. I think Manga may have an opportunity to fill the gap by releasing classic series rather than the newest...

Stand Alone Complex #3 brought forward

will they just freakin well decide on a release date and stick to it. given the fluid nature of Manga's release schedule I'm going to take this with a pinch of salt, hopefully it will stay brought forward but I'm not gonna set my heart on it.

OK, I'm hoping to get 1 anime series this year...

OK I've gone for Noir because it is a fantastic series, and the soundtrack is phenomenal (have all 3 ost's on cd) but really all those series are good. I myself am in the process of collecting both Gits: SAC & last exile. haven't heard too much about last exile or how it ends (at least not...

Beez reveal their UK plans for 2005!

as I've just said over @ animeondvd it is really good to see such a large company like bandai really getting involved in the UK market, and with quite a few new titles that hadnt been rumoured before

    7th February DVDs out now

have already watched kiddy grade & love hina for reviews for animeboredom and can honestly say that LH vol 5 was possibly the best so far with quite a bit of plot progression (what little plot there is), and KG vol6 was once again really impressive, even if it didnt quite live up to the ending...

    Lengthy Jonathan Clements Interview

I'm guessing that comes from the notion of many loyalist fanbases. everyone complains about sell outs and things not being pure - look at the punk scene, there are some in that scene that feel that if you've been signed to a label bang you're in the establishment therefore you've sold out. right...

    Zaion

yeah i remember the striker/spriggan manga in manga mania. was tres cool. spriggan was mindless fun though, all action no real plot. kick back with a couple of bottles of beer and its great.

How much do you watch a week? - anime that is!!

I cant say for certain, but usually get in about an hour a day. haver had some really bad weeks some times (anyone else done the 24 hour events with their anime lovin buddies?) or times been off work sick, nothing like a bit of fruits basket. so cant really say for certain. enough that the wife...

Dubs are more popular than Subs?

see thats one of the reasons I dont really go in for this type of debate. i'm fed up with the holier than thou attitude of many people who watch subs, like the simple fact of it not being in the original language makes your enjoyment invalid. (this same type of attitude can be foud in the whole...

    RahXephon Vs Neon Genesis Evangelion!

and just to be awkward will throw in the third option - Nadesico! Much better series than rahxephon or eva (eva damned overrated - i liked it but it isnt the be all end all of mecha shows). Nadesico was funny, the characters were not even half as annoying in eva. the music was boss, and it had...

ADV UK want opinions on art boxes

voted for the £7 option as well, still think thats too high for a piece of cardboard. its not like original artwork is ever even commmissioned for these things. ADV could just get away with bringing over the r1 artboxes which makes it even cheaper.

GitS: Stand Alone Complex Vol. 3 delay

as if it wasnt bad enough we had a 5 month wait between vols 1&2, and now this. they've had more than enough time to make sure that they would be able to get it all ready. this is really not the way to do things when you're a company only just getting back on its feet and need to regain the...

    Oscars '05 snub anime

its amazing that spirited away did so well in 2003 really. not like the oscars mean jack **** anyway. when people like richard burton glen close, kubrick, hitchcock so many fne actors, actresses and directors lose out to some truly shoddy crap its not a surprise that intelligent and stunning...

    Review: Noir

this is one of my fav releases from ADV, the story is engaging, and how it al falls together is gripping, the dislogue and character interplay is amazing, and chloe is freakin cool. But for me the stand out star of this series is the soundtrack. It is mesmerizing, and i've picked up all the...
