Awesome...So wish I was able to go...love Laura Bailey...especially considering some of her credits (Kid Trunks and Chi Chi of DBZ and DB respectively... Rayne in the VG Bloodrayne...etc)...
Well it is about time they started to this, however I've always been sceptical and will remain so until I see it. I'm a fan...but this could very well make it a lot harder to say that and not be embarrassed such an abomination was brought out...then again...it could be good...
The key? Do not...
Same here, might watch X later...seeing as I've already seen Generations when they sent out the wrong disc lol. Will watch Tokyo Underground over the weekend
X = Good film, bit confusing at first and you need to pay attention, but enjoyable none the less. Bit of a frog in the throat ending...
Not got mine yet either, which is annoying...might have something to do with issue 19 I guess.
Edit - Arrived this morning, just 17 and 18
17 - Perfect Blue
18 - HeatGuy J Eps 9-13
19 will be...in the growing pattern - Tokyo Underground Eps 10-14
I'd second that, definitely one for those more used to anime, and those with an open mind on some more...insane...animes. First time round I was like "Whoa, now I think I'll put this away...", gave it a second chance and loved it from then on. Couple of less anime-savvy friends watched it and...
Isn't known, they haven't and probably won't release any list...all I know is Dead Leaves is next and issue 19 or something has Street Fighter Generations. You can probably bet they'll complete Tokyo Underground and Heat Guy J though, maybe release the second GitS movie
Ok..
Issue 15 and...
Friggin' annoying about the wide-screen deal, I'd just about had enough of that after FUNi's desecration of DBZ in the new season sets...buuuuut...I'm a pretty big Transformers nut... got the original and special edition VHS' and the 20th Anni edition so what the hey..as long as it's not cropped...
Honestly, there are far worse things out there to be worried about in showing "this kinda thing"...in the end...if people find it offensive/disturbing/etc...who cares? No ones forcing them to watch it, things like this are released for the fans, who do want to watch it...the people that count >->
Subscribed via one of the leaflets so can't help you there...
Got issues 13 and 14 today...
Issue 13 - Appleseed
Issue 14 - Heat Guy J Episodes 5-8 (showing that it must be one of the series they'll continue and will likely take up 6-7 DVDs in total, I'm guessing the same can be assumed...
Well...tough one really...I mean, I personally think it's worth it but that's mostly because I consider it a launch pad for myself as I've never really had any anime or manga on DVD, bar Dragonball Z.
Basically...£8.99 for a 6 page mag that they could've done so much better with and a dvd...
Yeah I can see where you're coming from, that's why in a way I'm thankful I've never gotten round to buying my own manga (just watched a load of my friends' stuff) so I get away without duplicate dvds of any kind.
Had asked for Macross Plus Ultimate Edition for my birthday, good job I didn't...
Got my issues 11 and 12 today with binder. Got my replacement disc with issue 12, so wait til you get that issue Hellrider, might still get it there.
On a side note, issue 13 comes with Appleseed
As for complete seasons, I wouldn't mind them completing GitS: SAC, I know that the first 4...
When did you subscribe? I started from issue 2 onwards so I got issues 2,3 and 4 in one...then pairs from there on (so 5/6, 7/8, 9/10) having bought issue one in the shops.
edit - nevermind, hadn't read the post about your email reply
Guess this must've just been bigger then...
And issue 11 is Macross Plus The Movie, good job i told the gf not to worry about it as a birthday pressie.
Anyway, I think hachette must really be feeling guilty, received issues 9 and 10 today, just a week and a bit after I got 7 & 8 when it should be a month between each subscription...
Finally got my 7 & 8 too. At least now I can get my weeks back on track so I know roughly when i'll get 9 & 10 and so on...short of any more delays.
*runs off to finish watching Macross Plus* Addicted to this one now O-o
Eh, didn't see anything wrong with it, but that's just me...personally I saw it as a simple way to get some decent anime titles without them being loaded with extra discs full of extras I wouldn't watch lol
edit - According to Hachette the leaflet was received in error and the collection...
