Hi peeps. I thought I'd throw this in as a bit of a discussion thread after purchasing Psycho Pass, not that these thoughts are exclusive to this series. Whilst I appreciate that most anime is consumed on Japanese TV, it never fails to elicit a sigh when I see the words "Japanese 2.0" and...
Hehe there's always the threat of something not living up to expectations, and that's another bonus to Buddhism.. With no expectations comes no real disappointment. Art is simply what it is - a creative vision. If the artist is true to himself then a piece is abstractly the best it could be...
If this is the case then all power to Hideaki Anno, and I hope it does meet with his creative standards! Plus, looking at it in a Buddhist light, we're not that far off Evangelion 4 now that the third instalment has been so delayed. Still it's been a bloody long haul from the release of 2.22 -...

That's cool.. Importing from the USA isn't a problem. Thanks for the heads up.. Presumably it will see the light of day at some point. Thanks :)
Is The Order A Rabbit?
Hi peeps,
I do seem to just pop up with requests for DVD release info, so sorry about that.. but.. does anyone have any info relating to any possible western DVD release dates for the 12 episode series "Is The a Order A Rabbit?", which I've recently enjoyed on a...
All too true Lutga.. It's true that streaming is a cool thing but it's nice to have a hard copy of those things we like. Call me old fashioned (and I think you can now I'm in my 40's) but it would be a shame to lose your favourite anime shows if say Crunchyroll, or any such provider, were to...
On the subject of rips and such matters, it's an irony really when you think about it. The corporate world doesn't want you to rip them off and yet I tend towards believing that something as simple as distribution and rights wouldn't be half a complicated or frustrating if they hadn't...
They've cancelled Karas and 5cm/sec? That's surely not a permanent position though? No disrespect to Karas (which I love) but Makoto Shinkai's works can't be dismissed so easily, surely..
I believe Hideo Nakata was prominently involved with the remake of his own film "Dark Water", though I haven't seen the resulting movie.. I think it'd be great if we could get a movement together to help inspire the investors into recognising that the originators of these works would be the...
I can well imagine that it might (SHOULD) also give them pause to think about the issue of torrents and piracy. I too am a staunch advocate of moral and ethical conduct - as an artist myself I can't in all honesty condone ripping anyone off and this is a living for those wonderful Asian artists...
I suppose that happens as well then, but it doesn't seem to be on the scale with which anime gets postponed.. It's bad enough that there's a naturally bad turn around, which the likes of Crunchyroll (wonderful as they are!) make a bit more visible.. Such a shame that so many quality titles...
You know it's really when you get into anime that you actually realise how often dates keep getting pushed back like this.. Can you imagine if Hollywood films kept getting pushed back as badly as these?!
I suppose you don't think about the possibility, but to be honest you don't expect them to hit a "bad dub" for something as high-profile as Evangelion.. If that is the legitimate reason it must have been seriously wrong..
To be honest I was also quite shocked at how long it's been since...
Damn, humph and er.. etc.. I've still not got lucky in seeing it yet, but I can nearly quote the first two films, since I, like many, been stuck with watching them for about THREE YEARS now!!!! grrrhaha
Is it true that Evangelion 3.33 has been pushed back to Feb 2015 now!?? Can anyone else confirm this (not that there's anything we can do about it)?
Actually I know Scotland is vast, but if you do happen to have been around Edinburgh they got screenings of "Garden of Words" and "Evangelion 3".. That was pretty good! Especially since I didn't get to see them lol..
It's always nice to see anime get a screening at the cinema isn't it Lutga!? I caught "Poppy Hill" too at the same cinema.. It's been a pretty good place for me as regards the less commercial screenings. Off the trodden path but still J-related, they screened "Dark Water", which was my...
