I’ve just watched the Patlabor 2 movie from Anime.ltd, and came across a disconcerting artefact at the 1:20 mark: A guy in white maintenance overalls stands up, but glitches in and out of different colour clothing/pose, then is standing normally.
I thought I’d look up the scene / time online...
Looks like I bought this DOTW in 2023 for the same price (excl postage), and haven’t yet watched it.
In fact; I can’t even find it. Which is a little annoying, and making me determined to check that one off my list!
Was?
Still is! 😁
I know it’s a bit of a late reply, and the thread (and sale) have moved on, but;

UK Anime Christmas Sales for 2024 [Anime Ltd's 12 Days of Xmas + More]
Build fighters and Rental Magica both still seem to be enjoying their ‘flash’.
Kaji bundle has gone up in price, but still has ‘promotion’ splashed across its listing image.
EBs were £40 each, srp £70 each.
At least there’s a reasonable booklet in each (with std Amaray and some art cards),
So I now need to decide; Any good? Worth £25 per set?
What was/is the ‘new release / preorder’?
I don’t seem to have received any (advertising) emails from them on Tuesday - just the usual “Forget something?” for leaving an item in my basket.
I thought they had missed me off on Kaji, but got that email on Wednesday.
Don’t mind me; I’m just gonna put on this broken record:
£55 x 10% = £5.50
£55 - £5.50 = £49.50
£49.50 < £50 so £3.50 shipping
£49.50 + £3.50 = £53
£53 / £55 = 96.4%
Total unlimited discount = 3.6%
I also don’t know if it’s something I’ll particularly enjoy (not that this usually stops me!)...
You know what; £55 basket, 10% (£5.50) off… Total £53 (3.6% discount for my ‘unlimited’)
Yes. I’m a bit miffed. How did you know?
I just need a 50p item, but the cheapest things are either a £4 Belle pressed badge, or DVDs of releases I already have (and OOS).
IMO that’s a little overpriced for a ‘flash sale’ item.
Even if you don’t already have S1, that’s implying S2 with sale discount and bundle discount to be something like £40(+).
I mean; perhaps being relatively recent, it could be considered worth that. But it’s not a ‘sale’ price. As a small...
I’d assume if they had unlimited, they would be trying the 15% (or just reverting to the standard code anyway, as there’s no £50 restriction.
I’ll probably offer a correction here in that the standard ANIMEUNLIMITED discount continues to work with Bleach £10 off. Still, the advertising remains...
Hmm. Thought I’d add Bleach5 to my order, as the BLEACHHASMYSOUL offer states:
Discount code can be used alongside Anime (Un)Limited discount codes
…only to find it won’t let me use both.
I know: I’m late to both parties.
I already know I have it, so another week of depleting my (rather large) reserves.
If I wanted to check, I’ve utilised this new-fangled concept called ‘shelving’ to (fail to) contain such acquisitions.
£9.99 last time DOTW for those looking.
Hmm. Interest also piqued. Not sure who to blame.
Doesn’t seem that there’s a UK BR, so may have to import from JP. Also don’t seem to be able to find a S2 dvd for sale at the moment.
I’ll have to second this - probably second to none for CS.
I had a similar issue (albeit manufacturing fault) with a disc purchased probably a couple of years before I discovered it and asked on the off-chance. But still had an instant response and replacement with no hassle at all.
You should...
I bought After The Rain last time it was DOTW, but that was £14.99 so at £5 less you’re still getting it £3 cheaper after shipping costs added.
That also means yet another week goes by without me exchanging digital pennies for a disc of digital data in a box.
I looked this up after encountering the issue (ps3 and stand-alone - I’ll try on some other devices later), and there’s some discussion about it here:
Being late to the party (blame the height of the pile of shame), I had no idea if there was a fix - I was assuming / expecting based on this...
@Hanners is there a fixed disc available for Kakegurui?
My CE seems to have the extras menu made invisible. You can’t argue that selecting the extras is a gamble as they’re always in the same place, so it’s simply annoying.
