Most "other companies" releases are priced higher at the AL store than at any competiting stores, and in most cases even after factoring in Anime Unlimited discount. Nothing new...
Nobody likes paying shipping fees - me neither - but AL is somehow special here: Most items are Collector's Editions actually shipped as small parcels, and not just Standard Editions tossed into an envelope.
Still, it's like the second price increase within a year, as roughly a year ago new CE...
As far as I remember, Crunchyroll used the VIZ DVD subtitles some years ago. Don't know if Crunchyroll changed them or VIZ did some corrections for their Blu-rays.
$250 is the SRP of the Naruto complete set. It's unlikely that Amazon will actually charge full SRP by release date for a VIZ product.
Also Amazon charges just the actual import duties - however, due to a current error, the import fees deposit is overestimated. Should be around $50 not the...
Small notes on this:
City Hunter: Angel Dust = English-friendly DE & FR release by Plaion pictures this December (sub-only), incl. Steelbook
The First Slam Dunk = already released in DE & IT by Plaion, also in 4K, but not English-friendly
Komada: A Whisky Family = already released by Anime House...
The book is multi-lingual, so the only differents apart from the actual discs are the info sheet on the back and the language on the numbered certificate. So if you already own the Standard Edition, you can get the German or French release and just switch out the Blu-ray discs.

Spain, Germany & very soon Italy also had Blu-rays, with Spain & Germany using the same upscale. Italy might feature the same...
None of these is English-friendly
Whilest it's kinda usual that titles that received a Blu-ray+DVD-Combo for one part receiving a LE for the other, I can't recall that they ever made a LE for a Part 2 when Part 1 included a first-print goodie (here: art cards)
Please correct me if I'm wrong
In May Justin Sevakis asked for materials for some of these titles: x.com
Afaik some of these also had UK dubs that weren't included in the available releases?
Well, we'll see...
Megazone 23 Blu-ray, 40,00 € 40 € incl. EU tax (and looks like free EU shipping?)
Orders over 29 € can select a free "Two Car" Keychain as gift.
Discs will have FSK rating printed on disc (assumingly stickered on shrinkwrap) but are otherweise 100 % the same as AnimEigo, so 100 % English friendly.
Small reminder especially for non-UK AnimEigo fans:
Riding Bean Blu-ray, 18,00 € still 18 € incl. tax
Otaku no Video Blu-ray, 20,00 € still 20 € incl. tax
(iirc free EU shipping for orders > 19 €)
Shop will also take pre-orders for Megazone 23 (40 €) soon and Time of Eve (likely 25 €) later...
