They have whenever I've used them. Games it's harder to judge but even where the scratch was so small as to be almost imperceptable they've managed to clean it and stop skipping for me =)

@AntAce: I actually think the reason for the T+A in HOTD is much more simple: It's essentially a shout out to the schlocky horror flicks of the 70s and 80s which thrived on sex and violence, I mean the opening has a very old school kind of visual, combined with more modern elements.
