As awesome as it would be, I almost hope they don't release them just yet - if it's special releases coming out as fast as Haruhi is, it'd be breaking my bank ^^;
Neither.
I mean, I appreciate the merits (artistic and otherwise) of both studios, but Ghibli films usually fail to interest me and I've actively disliked every Pixar film I've seen. Pixar in particular disappoint me, becuase with their cash and abilities they could really make some great...
Wow, weird round this time - people are voting for characters I like! Yay. And, barring a massive change, it looks like they'll get through.
Also, anyone who hasn't read GTO really should give it a go. The first volume's arguably a little iffy, but it's still pretty funny and it only gets...
Voted for Reki.
The development of her character over the course of the show is excellent to watch.
From mother to protector to savior, through revelation becoming atoner, and finally, in redemption, child.
In retrospect, maybe I shouldn't have read the whole review since I've only seen the first few episodes. Oh well, I'm an idiot :P
I'm glad though that the worst bit of the series for me so far, Renton, improves over the course of the show. I don't know if I could stomach 50 episodes of the...
@ Arbalest & Maxon
Well, I know that fans of the shows other than FMP are more vocal online on english language sites, but I don't know the actual relative status in Japan.
Also, isn't the fact that those fans are more vocal somewhat due to the fact that they've had a few new recent releases...
Ya, seriously :/
The show was almost offensively masculine. Aside from shagging, iirc there was the drinking, random sports matches to show how athletic the main characters were and, oh yeah, out-calculating a computer. Marty Stu much?
Be fair now, I've been moaning about how character battles have gone since forever :P
Not that I dislike them, mind you.
I doubt anyone with any sense will accuse you or Arbalest of rigging the contest.
I think mourning the loss of characters is just as much a part as celebrating victories...
Honestly, right from the first character battle practically no characters I like get very far.
Still, I figure I may as well keep voting for them. Who knows? Maybe one day people'll realise how great they are. Or maybe some people'll be interested enough to check out the series.
Heh, "hope...
Really? Haha, can't say I'm surprised, thought it looked a little odd in the other current thread.
