I thought it was absolutetly dire, I couldn't believe what I was watching was praised so highly, its a comedy show that trys to go serious halfway through and fails miserably at both in my opinion, I thought even the action was crap. But you might enjoy it so far be it from me to tell you not to :D.

Ghibli is anime-lite as far as Im concerned, there mostly watched by film fans or casual anime watchers, the odd movie is decent but they dont deserve the praise they get, especially not Kiki's Delivery Service.

I really do want Goro to blow everyone away with this, I've allways though Miyazaki was distastefully overrated.

To be fair Battle Royale basically invented these "cliché's".

I've been buying Case Closed and Maison Ikkoku, I'm planning on catching up on Kenshin and Flame of Recca seeing as the earlier volumes of the USA ones are hard to find.

No doubt a large chunk of that is thanks to Gollancz.

It was fairly low budget by those kind of film's standards, and it was done in about 2003 or so.

I bought the Japanese release a while back, having seen only one episodes of Basilisk but the ninja fan in me forced me to so I went into it fairly blind and It really suprised me, the action is great and so is the cinemtography, its pretty gorgeous at times and the japanese release was awesome...

They lack the naffness? Did you see Die Another Day? That's the only movie I've ever laughed at all the way through, it was terribly naff :D But yeah this does look pretty sweet I suppose.

I dont know if everyone allready knows this but I'll point it out just incase, theres a box set of Heat Guy J listed on play.com, including episodes 1-26, strange that there allready releasing a box set when they havent finished the single volumes yet, I presume the singles didnt do as well as...

Dont get your hopes up, I've got the dvd and its terrible, it could have been great but it just misses on all acounts.

It doesn't take much to unlock the region, I did my player awhile back, simple as hell.

In my lunch break I went out and bought Maison Ikkoku 1+2, Monster 3, and Sgt Frog 6 from the local Forbidden Planet, its literally across the road from my work w00t.
