Do we need Bluray Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood in the UK?

Re: Do we need Bluray Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood in the So? And each frame of a PAL signal draws 288 lines. LCD/Plasma TVs cannot display interlaced pictures, they have to deinterlace it and show it as progressive, thus 1080i50 becomes 1080p25. That would look beyond crap...

Do we need Bluray Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood in the UK?

Re: Do we need Bluray Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood in the No, NTSC is 525 lines total but only 480 lines of actual active video. Same with PAL, 625 total with 576 for video. The rest is stuff like teletext, timecodes etc.. 480 or 576 from a DVD is full NTSC/PAL resolution. Why...

    Sony purchase Sky EPG slot

Licenses cost money thus variety costs money and AC lacked money. I'd been given a glimpse of what they had planned for the channel, but by spring 2008 the higher ups at CSC had pretty much yanked the rug out. They had plans for series like Haruhi and death note as well as showing anime...

Should religion be an excuse for carrying daggers?

If only we could all carry guns, then our gun murder rate would be as low as the USA. Oh, wait.... When you get to the point where a weapon is pointed then its too late. You might be armed but if its not in your hand and ready then its next to useless. Just like the old west, first to...

    Sony purchase Sky EPG slot

That was 4 years ago. Animax shows a lot of old series, shows LOTS of repeats and shows new eps daily (if not several per day). So ticks all the same boxes that made people whine about Anime Central. They do show some new stuff too. http://www.animaxtv.de/shows/all...

    Sony purchase Sky EPG slot

I'll put money on it being a non-anime channel. Sony said years ago they wanted to have animax on VoD in the UK and its not happened. AXN will bring in more money than animax and its been shown that anime on TV in the UK doesn't pay.

And.... it looks like it will remain Film24. They are still not launching animax.

The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya paperback

In a total brainfade moment I ordered the paperback instead of the hardback. It's in unread condition but thanks to Amazon's packaging its got slight damage on 2 corners of the spine. Make me a semi-sensible offer, I probably won't refuse. It will be posted 1st class.

Where to Buy Anime in the UK (was Anime Online Retailers)

Its even better when people get all bent out of shape and start going on about sale of goods, distance selling and the such when in reality if they didn't act like total idiots the retailers would, more often than not, refund them.
