I watch both DVDs and CR on a 2m projector screen. The quality on CR isn't bad. Especially compared to some recent releases where they've crammed lots of eps onto a disc and cut the bitrate right down.

The BD release is stonkingly good. The trailers for other Ghibli films show up just how awful PAL and NTSC can look compared to 1080.

Would be interesting to know how well GITS2.0 and Innocence sold on BD. Also the Eureka Seven movie is coming out on BD pretty soon. BD region locking isn't the hardest thing to get around, although all those PS3 owners are stuck. You can get a DVD/BD region switchable player for sub £100.
