Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid: A lonely dragon wants to be loved (Japanese) - Movie (Complete)

This was a wonderful movie, KyoAni continues to always deliver something spectacular, I'm glad I waited for the blu-ray to watch this movie. I'm not sure if this was intended to be the finale or not but it'd be a nice way to finish it off if so.

Metal Skin Panic MADOX-01 (Japanese) - OVA (Complete)

This was a fun enough 80's OVA with a bit of a silly plot, nothing amazing but a decent time.

Daredevil: Born Again (Season 1) - Episode 7 - 9 (Complete)

The original Daredevil series is my all time favourite Marvel TV show so I was anticipating this continuation and it definitely succeeded. It has a good mix of feeling like something new but not forgetting its routes either. Though we've seen Disney open to having more mature content in the MCU with Deadpool & Wolverine, I was surprised how much they didn't hold back with this, some truly gruesome scenes at times, which definitely hits more with the much darker and serious tone this series has compared to the likes of the comedic Deadpool. I look forward to checking out the second and upcoming third season once I catch up on other Marvel projects. It'd also be good to eventually go back and check out the other Defenders related series as out of those I've only ever watched the first season of Jessica Jones (which was great) and The Defenders crossover mini-series itself.

Harmony-I'd watched the first 15 minutes of this sci fi film before but never the complete 2 hours until last night and despite it getting mostly mediocre reviews found it to be quite a good film. I'll give it 7 out of 10 possible points.

Once Upon a Witch's Death (dub) eps 10-12 (complete)
A young witch is given a year to live unless she can gather enough magical energy in the form of tears. Thus starts numerous tearjerking adventures of helping various people with a bit of personal growth thrown in, although what we got had some nice moments unfortunately the year is only half over by the end of the season.
The main girl is very bratty at first and only quite bratty by the end, watching the dub probably didn't help, though I caught the original on occasion and didn't seem much better. Another thing with the dub is they didn't even try for a British accent even though a lot of the architecture and other background stuff was clearly British! Again watching the original wouldn't have helped with the disconnect.
The art and animation were fine.

Kaiju No. 8 s2 (dub) eps 9-11 (complete)
Preparation, all out attack and equally matched.
More of the same with the usual power creep you find in Shonen stuff. Some stand out badass and emotion moments, but nothing new. Apparently it ended halfway through the penultimate arc, so a bit of odd place to finish, but only one season left.
Art and animation about the same as before.
7/10

That was the 900th completed anime on my MAL account!

A Couple of Cuckoos s2 eps 4-6

The Legendary Hero is Dead episodes 9-12 (Complete. Not a bad watch but the humour didn’t always land and the story wasn’t anything too special either.) 3/5

The Ghost in the Shell (TV) (dub) eps 1-3
Brainwashing, trash trail and puppets.
This is a pretty straight adaptation so far, including the little notes from the author that appears on certain pages except the subtitles flash on the screen so quickly it's impossible to read them!

Secrets of the Silent Witch (dub) eps 1-3
Uninvited guest, undercover and investigation.
A girl who is so shy that she can't speak to people learns to cast magic without incantations and becomes one of the 7 most powerful Sages in the land dubbed the Silent Witch, but she lives far away from other people. One of her fellow 7 sages is charged with protecting one of the princes of the land, but is too well known to go undercover, so he recruits our heroine to do it for him, so she has to go to the prestigious school and protect the prince. Comedy, mystery and maybe romance ensues.

A Ninja and an Assassin Under One Roof eps 11 and 12 (complete)
Off her game and starting again.
A ditzy ninja and cold assassin meet become unlikely allies and maybe more. The ninja was loud and dumb and didn't get much growth, whereas the assassin was cold and unfriendly, but definitely got a bit softer due to various events. The various and varied episodic enemies got a couple of minutes before they were dispatched though which was a shame. Overall it was OK, but a bit OTT and too wacky rather than funny.
Art and animation were pretty good.
