I recall Madman released this series on Blu-ray years back so it's probably those instead.

What the hell an 18 certificate it's been a 15 since dvd and blu-ray since it's og release and i think its a pg in Canada.

That is... odd, to say the least... Akira for example hasn't been re-rated as an 18 that I'm aware of and that's... well it's Akira

The film itself is still a 15, the filmmakers commentary audio track on the 4K has been rated 18s and as such the entire release.
Fyi the extras went through the BBFC last year as they were added to the Sony Pictures Core streaming service on Bravia tvs and PS5.

Akira was a 12 for it's very short cinema run in 90s but it got a 15 for it's home video release.i think it should be down graded to a 12 myself.That is... odd, to say the least... Akira for example hasn't been re-rated as an 18 that I'm aware of and that's... well it's Akira

Is the image corrupted or does it have two back covers?

It's the layout for the outer box, the bbfc info is on the back and the bottom. It just looks tgat way as the image is flattened out.
