UK Anime Distributor Anime Limited Discussion Thread

I do find this reaction all a bit funny. Anyway, I'm sure Witch Watch, All You Need is Kill, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, the Naruto/Bleach train and many more will offered soon enough for those who aren't interested with these 2 western films (which seem very likely a holdover of previous ownership, though its a pretty cool set of films to end up distributing anyway). Who knows, maybe even the recent anime film Labyrinth will be cinemas here at some point, which I know of at least 1 person who prefers it to the Jim Henson film of the same name, so... there you go.

May think about Labyrinth as a make weight for shipping at some point, assuming it remains in stock.
 
Absolutely.
But with so much brilliant anime still out there that those of us would want physically, this is a little disappointing, that's all.

That's right - aiming to get back to it in October most likely. Opted not to have an industry panel this time around because:

a. We're being haranged constantly about previous announcements we haven't released yet so it feels like a good time to focus on those
b. Boring internal admin stuff as we integrate into our new setup, which just makes it a tad trickier to plan announcements around a panel at this precise moment in time
c. It's a busy weekend of other activities around the Japanese guests and world premiere (and I maaay have been roped into a panel that we're not directly hosting too!)

But hey, folks are welcome to come by our stand and shine a light directly into my eyes until I talk! *

May I ask here if we should be expecting any kind of news about Gundam Hathaway? Off the back of the US run people are openly sharing spoilers and for the sake of my tenuous sanity I'm hoping there's a licensing announcement/theatrical run incoming.
 
@Hanners With Akane-banashi likely set to raise the mainstream awareness of rakugo, since it's streaming on Netflix, would now be a good time to consider revisiting the licence for Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu? I seem to recall AL licensing it years ago, but never releasing it. It's a masterpiece that I'm dreading not being able to watch again when it inevitably gets delisted from Crunchyroll at some point.
