What did you RECEIVE today? PHOTOS EDITION!

I received three anime shipments this month so far - the first 3 Blu-rays arrived from MediaOCD yesterday, the two Slime Blu-rays from Amazon US Friday and yesterday, and the last one from a blu-ray.com forum friend on 3/9.

Unbelievably, the Scarlet Bond Movie Blu-ray from Amazon arrived with some actual kind of purple slime smeared all over the front and back of the slipcover, I guess someone was trying to be a joker - I used a knife to scrape all the slime of the cover and gently cleaned off the residue with soap and water, but the slip was still bubbled up and damaged underneath. So, I ordered another copy I found elsewhere for $11 cheaper then this one, and I will be spreading the slime back on the cover of this one and returning it back to Amazon once I receive the replacement, lol!

A few titles have arrived recently:

Firstly from CeX - I used up some vouchers to get this - I had picked up this set up from eBay recently, but that copy was a reseal job with all the discs swapped out for the 2009 film (odd I know).

Next up is this haul from Refuse Films, a newer UK-based boutique label who have also been putting out various Troma releases. These were a total blind buy as the bundle was nicely discounted and I wanted to check out a new label.

Finally from eBay a long-OOP UHD release from Eureka that I obtained for a reasonable price.
Just checked out the website for Refuse Films and all I'm thinking is how on earth are they doing this without going through the BBFC? By law there supposed to do that.

Enter more cables and adapters since I decided to bring my HP thunderbolt 3 dock back into use (and hope that the display port ports on it actually work) at least until I can get a thunderbolt 4 dock for the mac mini and the type c to c cables are to at least see if plugging the DAC/battery dock for my steelseries headset directly into the mac mini stops all the issues I've been having with it being plugged into a USB3 hub (the basics cable was only purchased in case the pack of 3 didn't have data transmission capabilities) along with the DSpico, the open source DS flashcart that doesn't have a timebomb in it (although I'm certainly pressing x to doubt the 3DS in DS mode compatibility since it doesn't even want to boot the DS launcher in my 2DS)

And finally, the mess that is my kitchen along with a new daewoo single induction hob since I needed to replace the old hob I had because it has partly failed and it was well beyond time that I got a replacement.

Got some games from Hit.co.uk this weekend. Nioh 3, Dead Space (Remake) and No Sleep for Kaname Date - From AI: The Somnium Files.

I’ve much enjoyed the Nioh series so far and the more I played the demo for Nioh 3 the less worried about it I was. I thought the core gimmick would make the gameplay too overwhelming but it’s just about adjusting to the systems. Plus the art book for the previous games arrived last week and 3 was on sale and I took this all as a sign to buy.

Dead Space is a series I missed out on. But after really liking Resident Evil 2 I’m willing to give another horror shooter a chance. AI: The Somnium Files is a series I mostly enjoyed but felt that it either needed to end or go in a different direction. So maybe this spinoff is what I wanted.

I've been vaguely interested in I'm Quitting Heroing since it came out but wasn't convinced at £30.
Found this on eBay for £10.80.
Turns out it is actually the Sentai version.
Not that it matters to me but they should highlight these things.

Anyhoo, a proper bargain from expensive eBay. It'll be a fiver in next month's sale.👻

Probably the final purchase until around this time next month, I decided to go back to a wired keyboard and purchased a pre-built glorious GMMK 2 which as a little under £100 was a lot cheaper then buying a barebones version along with switches and keycaps although, I will have to purchase a new set of keycaps that have the mac specific key legends as well as not being able to use the glorious core software on mac as I'm guessing that it only works with the GMMK 3 keyboards even though the glorious gaming website makes no mention of this.

I received one anime related item today from an eBay seller - I wanted to add on to my existing Studio Ghibli "The Art Of" art book collection. I have almost all the US hardcover and/or Japanese soft cover releases of this series, although the one I just got today is not an actual "The Art Of" release, since I don't believe one was ever made for this movie. This is actually one of my favorite Studio Ghibli movies; in my Top 10 at least.

With this pickup I now have 22 art books for most of the Studio Ghibli movies. I have also just ordered "The Art Of The Boy and the Heron" hardcover book, and an A4-sized art book for Grave of the Fireflies. I just need to find something yet for Pom Poko.

Here is my entire Studio Ghibli art book collection. The art book in Japanese with the thin blue spine is "The Art Of Whisper of the Heart."
