What did you BUY today?

Went to Waterstones and collected my copy of The Eternaut. It’s an Argentine comic series by Hector German Oesterheld and drawn by Francisco Solano Lopez. It’s very acclaimed and it’s finally been reprinted in English. The Netflix sticker is on the plastic film.

An RG RX-78-2 2.0 from Hobby Craft during their 25% off Gunpla sale (£26.25 so just over their free shipping as well)

Will mean I have 2 RG's to choose from for my "first" RG build... RX-78 or Zeta. Looking at reviews I think I'll go with the RX-78 for my first then build the Zeta in Wave Rider mode at some point

Received this weekend.

Verbatim BD drive bought through an Amazon marketplace seller, and fortunately it has a Pioneer BDR-UD04 inside, which means that I can now rip my UHD collection with MakeMKV without having to mess around with firmware on this drive.

Never mind the dusty big box next to it, that the old LG BD drive which still does it work although sometimes it chokes on some discs, which I hope the new one will gladly take. That Pioneer drive is also twice as fast as my ancient LG drive.

And yes I do have Japanese styled mouse mats :)

Pre-ordered from Anime-on-line
  • Spy x Family Code: White - Collector's Edition
  • Land of the Lustrous Collection
  • Anohana - The Flower We Saw That Day
(Interesting that I haven't had an order confirmation email despite it being 2 hours, maybe new site has a few hiccups still along with the new font!)

Pre-ordered against my better judgement. Only 2 months to wait, plenty of time to moan.

Hard Boiled Limited Edition Blu-ray.

Maybe a bit less time; Arrow releases often, but not always, come somewhat earlier than scheduled release date.

Ordered from  Hit
  • Metroid: Samus Returns (3DS)
I'm currently playing through Metroid: Zero Mission and I'm almost at the end I think. I'm enjoying it a lot so I'm commited to playing through all 5 entries of the 2D games. I'll tackle the Prime series and Other M at another time.

Hesitation Marks by Nine Inch Nails and Portishead by Portishead from Rarewaves

Figured I'd try my chances with Rarewaves on Hesitation Marks since it seems to be OOS everywhere else
