Agreed, the price for today's flash sale pretty epic for that set

I know it was an unrealistic hope but when I was reading the shipping update I kind of hoped they would change their international stance.

Maybe next year will be different, both in offerings and their stance.
It's truly sad when you start getting to that point where you feel there is not a lot offered that you don't already have (within ones interest of course). I would kill for more older series to be done in Blu-ray but that's just too much to ask I guess. LOL. Thank goodness for discotek, I just wish there were more groups like them

My (almost completely guesswork) “missing flash sale day” inference was that the four 4K titles we saw on the 5th we’re originally intended to span two days. If not 2+2, then possibly the Slam Dunk on a different day.
Having four titles in a “flash sale” seems a bit of a deviation from norm. Even if they’re all ‘linked’ by being 4K, that 4th title is a different price and not previously offered.

Which means; I’m not expecting an extension to 13th

But experience and expectation:
a) They’re not good at counting at the best of times.
b) It’s something else to get cocked up.
c) That isn’t necessarily the current (latest) state.
d) Even if AtA don’t change anything, something will go wrong.
e) Dates and deadlines? Hmm.

So that implies 2 more days so the 11th and 12th at 5pm

And the orginal blog post says the last day of flash sales would be the 11th at 5pm, so as such they have extended the flash sale by a day to cover the lost day.

Final sale day is probably still the same, so I assume sale still ends at 5pm on the 13th.
But yes they haven't really sent anything out updating us on whats happening which would have certainly helped, rather than having to go looking for said info or assuming (like i am for the final end date of the sale)

Wishful thinking but I'd really like to see that on the final day the contents of the Mystery Boxes are going to be revealed for those who want to know so they can order it. In other years they were a lot quicker with orders, so this wasn't an issue, but it seems nothing is going to be sent before the sale ends this time.

As a regular AtA customer the appeal to me isn't the secret of the Mystery Boxes, but rather the opportunity to get CE's for a huge discount without getting a bunch of duplicates.

'Tis true in years gone by the contents of the boxes were revealed. However, that was less by design and more through - dare I say it - efficiency. Somehow, after all these years, AL have outdone themselves. But that does not mean that they should defeat the whole point by removing the mystery aspect, at the last. Were they to do so, it would end the pretense, forever more~

That said, I'd like to know myself.

Despite not own owning a vinyl player, I was verrrry tempted--the only flasher to lure me in thus far. Death Note is one of two anime soundtracks I love . There's nothing else like it my ears have heard, with it going from cool detective beats to despair freely - some tracks that play only once - that syncs up with the mood/atmosphere to make DN an 11/10 for the audio: esp given Light's JP voice acting on top.

Unfortunately/fortunately, although it's much cheaper than the £200-odd on eBay, I don't think I want to start hoarding vinyls when digital audio so much more convenient. That, and I'm not fond of the schit. Would've preferred character art/DN rules.

Yes, it's a wonderful, unique track that's worth listening to even if you're not an anime fan. As for the design, I personally prefer a unique one to a few anime images. Such images are cool when they create something unique, but adding a few screenshots or popular graphics feels cheap to me—like I designed it myself. There's a unique design here. But that's probably a matter of taste.

I can definitely see the appeal of listening for 20mins, getting up, and switching/watching it play. It's never going to be the same letting a playlist auto-play. And attention can drift so you are listening without really listening. Bit like the difference between reading a book, and an ebook.

As for the , 'tis purely subjective on my part, and I can totally see why a 'designed for specific release' aesthetic more attractive than just spunking anime art.
I own the manga box set, which is black with the rules written all over it. Saw this on CR US, and I much prefer black+grey as it'd match. That and that iconic Light laugh. But I can also see it's a less stylish release.



Anyway, glad to have found someone passionate about anime music. They're a rare, and in my case somewhat autistic breed. My memory has always been rather naff, yet play me a piece of music from some of my fav scenes/anime annnnnd... there it is. 'Tis why people with Alzheimer's are able to briefly remember. In the case of DN though, it's a rare case of me being able to listen in isolation, just for the mood/vibe many of the tracks create.

Not a BAD price but also not an amazing discount when it can be had for £24.99 on Amazon, anytime. The earlier flashers were ok, last few suggest >.

'Tis something that would've been better in the film mystery box as Squiggle said, or just in with the CE/stocking filler categories. Not sure what makes it so different/wau.

Bugger knows what to do re the especially mysterious 2025 boxes. I'd kinda like the Chaika set, and kinda like the Kaiji set. But I own the Sentai versions. And cba CeX 8/10. Be worth it if both in one box. Otherwise...

...eh. Most likely just gonna order Call of Night, Dandadan CE and Lonely Mirror with my 10%, tomorrow. Doubt the final flasher will dazzle enough to sway meeeeee when DN didn't.

I like it enough to have ordered last time on offer - not really wanting to risk it selling out sometime. And it has to be said; that’s pretty good value for not only a steelbook, but with a soundtrack included.

Where did they say the sale was ending on the 13th? Just want to be sure, there's a couple of last items I wanna buy using the discount, but don't wanna buy yet if there is for sure another day and possibly another flash.
Tried looking around, but can't find where they said this.
