Ones I've noted myself (as I am/or was interested in buying them) are Digimon Adventure 02: The Beginning; which was said to be having a home video release a while back too, I think (?). I ended up importing the AUS release instead.

There was also mention back in June of three Hosoda films (The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, Wolf Children, and Summer Wars) having a 4K home video release (as detailed here: Experience The World of Mamoru Hosoda – All the Anime).

Further details were stated to be released later this summer, but I don't think we heard anything further. GKids have/are releasing them, so I'm sure they'll come eventually though - hopefully they'll be in the next Newswire 🤞

Per Japanese reviews the Urdr Hunt movie is a mess of strung together cutscenes, so perhaps a poisoned chalice to hope AL releases it.

Admittedly still sour they're evidently not doing anything festive with the new cinema release of Endless Waltz US just got.

10 years, 2 Christmas adjacent Gundams and they've seized on neither of them...

Forgot they had Oshi No Ko. Imagine that's just one they still need to sort details for.

From that list above, Macross Frontier is what I'm very interested in; probably nothing else.

Repeating myself from a while ago, but I wish AL would announce The Eminence in Shadow S2, or state that they are not licensing it, in which case I would go ahead and buy the Sentai version that's been out nearly a year and will likely be in their upcoming Black Friday/Christmas sale. I prefer to buy from AL, but I also don't want to be waiting forever for something that isn't happening.

Question to Anime Ltd...

Anyone care to explain how you managed to give Picturehouse a file of Char's Counterattack where the vidoe and audio weren't synced???

I traveled into London yesterday just to see CCA and I was sooo excited about and yet you managed to make it an incredibly disappointing evening.

This sort of sloppyness just isn't acceptable...

My mate said the same thing yesterday evening :( I told him to email AL directly via their store as its likely a file issue AL used.

Forgot to ask if they replied and hes currently in another movie

...There was a theatrical screening of CCA?

EDIT: They're showing Endless Waltz too?

Am I just crap or was all this barely advertised?

EDIT Second: So stuff like End of Eva gets a public release but classic Gundam gets restricted to a festival. Seriously, what the hell? This is why I keep banging on about what comes off as hypocrisy.

I mean, If you call desynced audio from the start, getting worse around 30~% into the movie a "Screening" then sure. I'd rather just watch it on bluray at that point

Mates also seeing EW tomorrow so will find out if that goes well. Hopefully it does because otherwise its really not good -_-

I just genuinely hadn't seen any advertising for any of this. UK fans have been asking for cinema releases of classic Gundam movies for years and when it happens it's done in perhaps the poorest way possible.

And this is the company that keeps promising it's totally committed to treating Gundam right here. Everything from the lack of advertising to the aforementioned technical problems sure says otherwise.

I just can't get past this, sorry. Looking at the schedule and seeing 2 Gundam movies, Gridman Universe...would none of these have supported a wider limited run? I want to be entirely clear here I understand there might be wider shenanigans here that aren't AL's fault, but putting these in a festival run, barely advertising them...why? Would it have been asking the Earth for these to get maybe a 3 day run? The Gundam ones in particular- I spent 3 hours yesterday waiting to get into a dedicated store in Camden. The line was massive and the staff are very open the store is making money hand over fist.

Gundam is finally on the rise in the UK and the folks distributing the foundational animation seem asleep at the wheel.

Are we not getting a November Newswire at all?
I'm guessing there should be one, considering the new Early Bird that went live last Thursday. So there are new Early Birds planned for this month. But knowing AL, we'll probably get it in January. 😮‍💨
Too all people asking this i defer you to the post i made during mcm

Just spoke with Andy, there's not going to be a title announcement panel this mcm because they they want to focus on getting the titles they've already announced out the door but there hoping to do something for Christmas.
So if we get anything it would be late November or early December.
