UK Anime Distributor Anime Limited Discussion Thread

I did forget to mention the MC can be very annoying with the way he seems to fumble the majority of situations he's in but if you can accept that early on and it won't frustrate you much I think you'll be fine. I think that is partly the reason a lot of people don't enjoy it as he can make it repetitive at times and from what I've heard of the manga, the story is still quite repetitive.

A relatable main character, I'm in.

this is all from what I've read and watched online, could just be haters hating

I think a lot of Rent-a-Girlfriend hate comes from the manga pretty much doing nothing for 150+ chapters after [Spoiler Events from Season 2]. To the point its almost insulting to read just because how little development (if any) there is over whole books of content

Might be fun for some people but after watching S1 & 2. I'm not rushing to go read the manga thats for sure

The fact crunchy have season 2 makes me think twice about getting season 1 if season 2 won’t have a CE

This. I really doubt an LE for the second season will be coming from Crunchyroll. but, the US LE for S1 is way overpriced, so that makes this one fairly attractive - and the UK CE has nicer box art too.

Opened my sale stuff today shirobako arrived damaged case sounds broken inside too so didn’t even bother taking off the shrinkwrap :(

OK, it's the weekend, the next gundam series is ment to be out on Monday which means they would have already had to dispatch them by yesterday and yet I've received no dispatch email.

Shirobako I think is only a 3 way case, so finding a replacement case (a 1 way case with a 2 disc swing tray) might be easier for you (assuming its only the case and not the artbox) with you being in Ireland and i assume you have to do various customs stuff. But yeah either way usually best to get in touch first before opening/unsealing and see what they say.

Emailed them twice asking simple questions on two different topics - never got a response despite being a customer. Simply ridiculous.
I'm having a similar experience at the moment. Since I bought some stuff in the recent sale, I've stopped receiving any mails from their mailing list. I got a reply from them suggesting that I check spam folders etc. I replied apologising because I should have made it clear in my initial email that I'd checked that, and also checked for any accidental filters that had been created. Haven't had any more replies since, even after sending a follow-up mail.

It's frustrating. I'm an unlimited member, and I want to get their mails so I can give them money! I have to assume it's because of understaffing, so no shade at all to the staff on the front lines who I'm sure are doing their best. I've been in similar situations myself at previous employers. When faced with a thousand problems, you have to pick your battles, and I can see why mine would be very far down the list of priorities. Still, it's frustrating.

I suppose I could sign up on a different email address, but then I'd miss any unlimited exclusive mails like the sales codes.

I finally received my parcel from the last sale. It arrived without damage, so at least there was no problem there. Anime Ltd wrote back to me about the Spy x Family fabric bags - they never received them and gave up on them, so they removed them from the description. I'm pissed because now they're giving away bags from this series in cinemas in the UK. Can't they send me one? xD
