Just received an encouraging email from Anime Unlimited: Hope you had a good weekend! It appears from your account that the system unsubscribed you from our mailing list, I've now re-added your email so any future issues, please let me know.

My Hero Academia episodes 14-25: against my better judgement, I'm starting to warm to this silly show. I do feel concerns at the definition of "hero", as for most of the students it seeks to equate to beating the **** out of all others and standing on a heap of their broken bodies while being...

Re: Zero episodes 26-31: I still can't stand Subaru, and I feel this is spoiling my enjoyment of the series. Although it is starting to become a bit predictable and if the big reveal is what I think it is, I won't be pleased. To give my grump a rest, I've put season 2 of My Hero Academia on...

Himouto! Umaru-chan R complete series: What joy it is to watch all the outwardly confident, but secretly socially awkward, characters trying to find friends (or love) without ever giving anything away about their own nervousness. There were even a few occasions where Umaru showed signs of...

Maybe I should also do that, as it's frustrating seeing messages on here about AL bargains/codes/sales and not receiving any emails since January(?).

The Anime/Manga I Bought Today Was...

Trawling Amazon US and couldn't resist Lady Georgie The Complete Series (£43.61 with postage and VAT). I can't wait to be nitpicky about how the Japanese show Australia in the 19th century.

Bibliophile Princess episodes 10-12 & extra: more lavish set, political intrigue and self-doubt from our princess. Very soppy that will appeal to all the romantics out there. Loved the ending for its variation on the traditional fireworks. The extra consisted of two male VAs (Christopher and...

Take one guess on what this week's DOTW will be. How unlucky are you normally? :)

Bibliophile Princess episodes 1-9: part cutesy love story, part political intrigue, part everyone watching everyone else for subtle social cues. But does every prince and princess have to have blonde hair and blue eyes? Enjoyable and sometimes sneaky in the way the story is told.

Konosuba season 2: Wow, there's a big IQ drop-off between my last anime (Dr Stone) and this bunch of overpowered frustrated virgins. Can it get dumber in season 3? I'm not sure I'm that interested in continuing watching.

Dr Stone episodes 19-24: Glad I ordered season 2, considering the cliffhanger ending. Even I got bit teary at the song. I wonder if the Japanese version uses quite so much hyperbole (million percent, travel to infinity etc).

I shall just stick with my steelbook. Which has been sitting on my pending shelf since I bought it last year. And I still have the DVDs I bought 20 years ago. Double dipping is OK but triple dipping seems one dip too far. :)

Dr Stone episodes 13-18. Finally we have confrontation. All going well so far, although I'm worried that the village is supposed to have been there for 3,000 years without any change in language. Bit the bullet and ordered season 2 from CEX. AKB47 Request 100 Live at the Tokyo Dome 2012...

Dr Stone season 1 episodes 1-12: I'm enjoying this. Really appealing to a science nerd and I love that the first person they unfreeze turns out to be a bloodthirsty megalomaniac. I think that says something profound about human nature.
