Are AL still offering a disc replacement service for the Evangelion CE? I just kept putting it off, until it eventually just slipped my mind. I've had a quick search and couldn't find anything - do you just have to email their customer support?

Is that a rigid case that holds both parts? That's what I assume it is, but couldn't find anything about in on the Amazon product page (surprise!).

I placed an order on pretty much the same day and received in on Friday. It’s status didn’t budge at all until Wednesday though. Lancashire, for what it’s worth. I’ll check my order though just to make sure on the date.

I would have entertained it, had I not bought the Funimation collectors edition. It was one of my running notifications for a good while on eBay too, so it's just my luck that this would appear now!

Good luck getting Amazon to package that in a way that it doesn’t show up damaged. I ordered from them on release, and I think I returned (and exchanged) that book about 4 times before I just gave up and asked for a refund.

Even with the luxury of returning items, I’ve had to (re)return these sort of things so many times. Amazon packaging just doesn’t protect them. I do sometimes feel a bit petty if I return them with cosmetic damage to the boxes, but I’ve had the same item turn up in completely different...

Taking cues from Apple’s minimalism… Like you though, I’m very curious to see people start posting their hauls.

Oh, believe me, I check eBay and the like pretty regularly for it, and it's one of the few titles I've never seen listed (beyond a DVD copy), so I'm not holding my breath! I always toy with the idea of getting Hyouka Part 1 CE just because it's so affordable, on the off chance Part 2 suddenly...

Yeah, I had a look yesterday and there's nothing really that would make me think they're not genuine. This is kind of a bad thing because they have a lot of the Anime Limited stuff I missed out on! Well, except for Hyouka Part 2, which I don't think I'm ever going to get at this point...

Thanks! That seems…pretty sporadic. If they were more consistent I’d definitely bite as I’ve still to get my mandatory Ghibli BRs.

Which of the Ghibli releases have had collector's edition so far? Is it following the number order and Porco Ross is the 3rd?
