I'd say yes if you ignore the majority of Anime produced last decade which was a bit sketchy for Anime in HD. A lot of the cel Anime that's had a proper transfer from film to HD looks fantastic as well as new releases like Redline. You get less banding (those horrible looking colour gradients)...
