Just in case anyone didn’t expect this to be continuing during the Xmas stuff, MVMs current DOTW for £7.99 (plus postage):
KATSUGEKI TOUKEN RANBU COLLECTION (15) BLU-RAY

In a way, I’m glad it’s a flash sale item then.
I like it enough to have ordered last time on offer - not really wanting to risk it selling out sometime. And it has to be said; that’s pretty good value for not only a steelbook, but with a soundtrack included.
That implies one is/was either combined or cancelled.
But experience and expectation: 😉
a) They’re not good at counting at the best of times.
b) It’s something else to get cocked up.
c) That isn’t necessarily the current (latest) state.
d) Even if AtA don’t change anything, something will go...
My (almost completely guesswork) “missing flash sale day” inference was that the four 4K titles we saw on the 5th we’re originally intended to span two days. If not 2+2, then possibly the Slam Dunk on a different day.
Having four titles in a “flash sale” seems a bit of a deviation from norm...
I was thinking something similar: Getting a delivery half-way round the world, and through whatever customs at each side. All before those of us in the same country have even had theirs considered for dispatch.
(I just know the fulfilment centre each day keeps taking a look at the size my order...
To clear things up; the UE is entirely A4 sized (or slightly larger, all sliding into a stiff card outer box) - both the massively thick and heavy hardback storyboard book and the “companion” book are A4. There’s no disc case to sit alongside a smaller book (instead using the ‘usual’ foam hub in...
I learned something. I think. :)
I’ll forget it again soon enough.
I’d find that incredibly annoying. But I’m not (yet) any form of captive Gundam fan - I’ve got a shelf-and-a-half of Gundam titles from AL, but haven’t watched a single series yet.
In this case, it turns out I have indeed got...
The online store text uses “demon-boy” in the same synopsis. It’s just lack of proof-reading on one or the other.
And if we’re looking at episode runtimes, try Deiji Meets Girl. That’s 12 episodes for a total of 24 minutes.
@usnapoleon is perfectly correct, though:
It’s been out long enough that most people willing to pay the higher prices to guarantee a copy will have done so. Likewise, most of the rest will have bought their standard editions.
It was originally going to be a single set, before AL took over the...
@SkwigglesWorth
I’m not sure how or what has happened, but the prices for the MVM bundles in the first post are incorrect (aside from the pot luck).
They should all be either £9.99 or £19.99, but the table seems to have randomly reallocated some pennies:
What’s with these Gundam Seed “collectors” sets, that have for some reason been split into two halves?
One coming with the box, and the other just happens to be the missing Amaray to slot in with it… And to top it off; you can just bogof each pair for £20 instead (save £30)
We’ve kinda had some...
Is there anything redeeming about that “Slam Dunk” title?
I’m ok with some other ‘sports’ titles such as Tsurune or Megalobox or Blue Thermal (or Chidori etc), and likewise Initial D or such.
But something related to (and focusing on) team sports and realism(?) sounds like a bit of a tedious...
You’re perfectly correct. I must offer my apologies.
I was consciously thinking that if I posted a list, I’d ensure it was correctly hidden. But somehow failed to extend that train of thought.
I just noticed it’s also - so a third title too. One might be OK, two at a push, but three is going a little far.
That the later seasons are (obviously) slightly more recent releases implies slightly more value, and although £4 per title is pretty good, these do include older ones that have...
