They probably went with that one since the 2017 konosuba VN has limited voice acting, with there being long segments without any voice acting. I think the 2017 one is better written though.

Hope Sentai also manges to get Takagi-san season 2 would feel kind of odd to be able to get season 1 and 3, but not 2.

From what people have been talking about it seem to likely be discs using the old masters sentai used for their first releases, which people seem to complain about. The new release Sentai released in 2019 which uses 3 disc each season is considered way better, so it is likely going to be...
