Has anyone received there copy of bleach vol 2 yet? I ask because I haven't got mine yet and the royal mail tracking number isn't working for me for some reason.

Not yet, I'd expect things to take a bit longer to get through Royal Mail from now, until after the new year. It's just that time of year.

It's a shame it flopped in the US, I suppose that it makes it less likely for an English licensor to pick it up. I wonder why it didn't do well. I believe the manga did relatively well, as it got a VIZ manga box set, which only popular series get.

And to be fair, Media Blasters released it back in 2011, I wonder if there's an argument that the market is completely different now and so it may do better (i.e., manga is a lot bigger in English-speaking countries than it was back then, so perhaps a show about two guys making manga would attract more people!). Who knows.

I think a big part of it’s failure was due to Media Blasters trying to continue the volume release’s strategy (i.e a handful of episodes per release) instead of the parts releases (i.e a single cour per release) Funimation popularized a few years prior. I think a company like Discotek could give the series a proper release on Blu-ray that would likely attract a lot of attention. I know people are constantly asking them to license Bakuman. Maybe one day.
 
Since i’m going to buy Liz and the blue bird and probably a few others, it might be time to sign up to Anime Unlimited. Anyone know whether i’d be able to use the xmas code for 15% off or do you need to have signed up before the sale started?

To make the £17.50 back from the extra 5% (over the standard 10% discounts), you would have to spend £350
I can’t say I’ve done what you’re asking (an event-specific code after the event starts), just that the 10% unlimited becomes active immediately.
If you haven’t already, perhaps try the newsletter sign-up and see if that becomes active immediately?

Thanks for the response. I have already used the 10% discount from the newsletter and they keep tempting me to buy more, so was going to try and use the 15% one too. I should probably just sign up anyway since i use their site quite often!

Worst case; you’ll have more 10% discounts available, and get the 15% next year (even if you cancel after one year). If the 15% does work, some of us would think it’s the optimal sign-up time.

If you weren’t to be the beta-tester for this, checking if the newsletter works immediately could be done with a new throwaway email account. I’m pretty sure some people exploit multiple accounts anyway at this time of year.
 
I'm surprised no one has reported the packaging defect of Minus One UHD LE. The artwork is folded incorrectly on the cardboard box, resulting in ugly discontinuities at the top and bottom surfaces.

OK this is worrying, the royal mail tracking number for vol 2 of bleach now works but it says there expecting my package and the current history only says it's been dispatched to royal mail, that's it no info on having received it? Anyone else like this or have your copies reached royal mail?

That's normal. It can be like that a few days before the item gets scanned into the system. With the 48 tracked service AL use they're required to attempt delivery within 48 hours of the items entry scan, because of this it won't be scanned in until the service is able to do so.
