May as well digest the list for added context.

These GONZO titles are no longer with any UK distributor and that includes Funimation (Funi only had US & CA rights):
Basilisk
Samurai 7

MVM currently have the rights to these titles (Funi only had US & CA rights):
Burst Angel

Funimation no longer has the rights to these titles, as they have reverted back to Aniplex:
Black Butler
Black Butler II
Darker Than Black
Darker Than Black: Gemini of the Meteor
Sekirei
Sekirei Pure Engagement
Shiki

Manga UK sub-licensed these from Funimation back in the day, whether they will return depends on Funimation:
Aria the Scarlet Ammo
Baka & Test: Summon the Beasts - Blu-ray version may not be possible as the US re-release reverted to DVD only
Baka & Test: Summon the Beasts 2 - Blu-ray version may not be possible as the US re-release reverted to DVD only

Black Blood Brothers
Cat Planet Cuties
D.Gray-man - No US Blu-ray release
Freezing
Gunslinger Girl: Il Teatrino
Guyver: The Bio-boosted Armour
Nabari no Ou - No US Blu-ray release

Manga UK does have the rights to this lot:

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya Season 2
The Melancholy of Haruhi-chan Suzumiya
Rin: Daughters of Mnemosyne
Soul Eater - I'm convinced Manga may no longer have the rights to this series
Spice & Wolf
Spice & Wolf II

Cardcaptor Sakura Clear Card Part 1 is now back in stock on Amazon UK. Question is whether or not it still comes with a slipcover.

I just ordered the standard edition combi today using the mvm code. So annoying. Defo prefer to have the ltd ed version.

I've sent a msg to hopefully resolve it.

Makes sense if it's a clone of the US one. The original S;G there was also a LE box for two parts of which P2 was released separately and you could tuck it in if you removed the slipcover. (In that particular case it had to be removed, as the slipcover was DVD sized.)

I agree. DVD is a dead format for anime theses days.
It's idiotic to think that you're saving money by removing the dvd. Having two boxsets produced in lower quantities increase the cost on the publishers ends and as you'd guess it is reflected in the price anyway. It's literally equal at this point.

I'd rather see the DVDs completely removed from all CE sets, with 3-4 episodes authored to multiple BD disc in a 4-5 panel Digipak, just like a Japanese release - now that would be heaven-sent for me... 😍
