Kill la Kill - Episodes 2-4I can appreciate a work that has its own style, but Quick. Jarring. Cuts. Does. Not. Style. Make. They only work to take me out of the action, especially when used as a framing device for Mako's unwanted interjections. Bring it down a notch, because it's hurting a series that does have a nice look to it, ignoring certain gross aspects of the fan service and Ryuuko's charming glove.[spoilerinline]My jaw dropped when she first activated her uniform.[/spoilerinline]The fourth episode was my favourite of the bunch, welcome respite after the action-packed, but ultimately lukewarm second and third. The first episode really nailed it for me, and I'm hoping Kill la Kill doesn't lose the rest of its steam and fall into the dreaded 'villain of the week' paradigm.
