North American publisher Yen Press has reconfirmed their commitment to the growing light novel market today by announcing three new acquisitions today, bringing something old(ish), something new and something blue to the market - hopefully creating another year of perfect marriage between the budding medium and the western market.

Continuing from their successful launch of Fujino Ōmori and Suzuhito Yasuda's popular comedic fantasy Is It Wrong To Pick Up Girls In A Dungeon? series last year and following up with its manga adaptation, Yen Press have confirmed plans to publish Is It Wrong To Try To Pick Up GIrls In A Dungeon? Sword Oratoria, a spin-off series by the original author focusing on Aiz Wallenstein, the acclaimed Level 5 adventurer and "Sword Princess" of the Loki Familia in the mainline series.

J.C. Staff's television anime adaptation of the main series quickly became known as a surprise hit when it aired earlier this year. Animatsu Entertainment have licensed the anime for release in the United Kingdom.

With an anime series already confirmed to be in the works, Yen Press have snapped at the opportunity to bring Re:Zero to the English-speaking market. The novel series by writer Tappei Nagatsuki and illustrator Shinichirou Otsuka tells the story of Subaru Natsuki, a high school student who after finding himself lost in an alternate workd, discovers he has the power to rewind death after being killed trying to return the favour to a beautiful woman who saved him. However, he can only rewind to the point he entered the new world and doesn't retain any of his memories beyond that point.

Yen Press will be publishing the original novel series and a manga adaptation next year; although we have reached out to confirm which of three manga titles they will be publishing.

And last but certainly not least - hot off the heals of its currently airing anime adaptation, Yen Press will be heralding the start of the Phoenix Festa next year with the release of The Asterisk War, an action-orientated harem series penned by Yuu Miyazaki and illustrated by Okiura. The light novels will also be accompanied by the publication of Ningen's manga adaptation.

In the aftermath of a global calamity, the discovery of the unknown element "mana" saw not only rapid strides in technological advances, but also the birth of the "Genestella", a new sub-species of humans born with unique skills. An academy city above the water was set up to accomodate the so-called "Star Pulse Generation" and also sets the stage for the "Festa", a battle spectacle starring talent from the cities six institutions, or "Asterisk".

The anime adaptation is currently being simulcast by Crunchyroll.
