Yen Press have also licensed the manga spin-off Mahōka Kōkō no Yūtōsei (The Honour at Magic High School) which focuses on Miyuki's point of view.

Looks like Yen Press has a good relationship with Dengeki Bunko in terms of light novel licenses.

So far they have A Certain Magical Index, Accel World, Black Bullet, The Devil is a Part-Timer!, Durarara!!, Spice and Wolf, Strike the Blood, Sword Art Online & Sword Art Online: Progressive, Zettai Naru Isolator and now The Irregular at Magic High School.

I'm hoping they'll be able to license Baccano!, Bludgeoning Angel Dokuro-Chan, Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko (Ground Control to Psychoelectric Girl), Golden Time, Oreimo, The Pet Girl of Sakurasou, Ro-Kyu-Bu!, Toradora! and rescue Shakugan no Shana from the same label. That would be cool.

The Yen On imprint also has Another, Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?, Kagerou Daze, Log Horizon, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, No Game No Life and Pandora Hearts: Caucus Race.

Onii-Sama! Onii-Sama! Onii-Sama! Onii-Sama! Onii-Sama! Onii-Sama! Onii-Sama!

Kind of surprised this got licensed. Judging by the anime adaptation the series was pretty dumb - MC was basically Jesus with an obsessive sister that always wanted his D. Wait, what am I saying - it sounds like SAO so it must have mainstream appeal!
Jokes aside, I wonder if the light novels will be better than the show. I gave up around the halfway point when it was airing because I found it too boring and silly.

Every license i see makes me sad it's not Highschool DxD ...

Still more light novels is always a good thing

Don't worry I'm also still waiting for the devil herself to appear in English one day. There's like dozens of volumes (and each anime season only adapts 2 at a time) but heck I'm sure Yen On can handle that given Index is 18 volumes.

I'm just still amazed they've not got Toradora yet. I've always thought of all the light novel series, it's probably a very good one to get in English. It's complete, only 10 volumes long, and the anime is still really popular and has just been rereleased with a dub.

I say this every time they announce a new LN - but they really need to start getting more of their stuff on Kindle. They've made good strides with getting Is It Wrong To Pick Up Girls In A Dungeon and No Game No Life (in April) on there, so why not everything?

Going by their Twitter feed, they seem to ignore most people that ask the question - ie. why isn't Sword Art Online / Accel World on Kindle.

Aside from Another (which they released as a single volume so is a bit of a special case) every light novel they've licensed so far has been an ongoing series at the time of them licensing it. Every single series you mentioned there is finished, some of them a long time ago now.

and thus

It's complete
might be something they see as a bad thing.
