The Sun reports that the DS, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 have been banned from UK jails over fears they could be used to plan terror attacks.

The fear stems from the discovery that all three devices contain software that "enables users to send or receive radio signals" and that they could be used to talk to fellow conspirators to "plot carnage." The Playstation 2 also faces a possible ban, the paper reports.

Oh btw why do jails allow consoles in jail in the first place?
 
It's the kind of rehab I'd be happy to have.... So I guess it was about time they thought this through and banned it. Consoles are entertainment machines, thus go to the rewarding, not the criminals.

But they really disguised this farce with quite the mockery of excuses.
Geez, would it hurt people just to say that they were either wrong in giving them these things in the 1st place, or to say they just dont want to give them to prisoners?

But secret messages? Aren't they monitored or watched over? Freaking "geniuses."
