As its pretty much been noticed and people don't want loads of threads cluttering up the place with world news or horrific headline stories...i figured it'd be easier on the community to use just one thread for these sorts of things.

If you think about it, it'll help in a nimber of ways:
- stops the place looking depressing
- all stories will be easy to find if their all in 1 thread
- those who wish to look at the news and stories can do without being put off by horrific titles and headlines.

Interesting, but I wonder why again it is only to do with female lap dancers. If it is a study of things in the sex industry why don't they include male strippers and dancers in gay and lesbian clubs. It would be interesting to know if there was any common reasons for people to get involved in all of these or whether they all had their own more specific reasons.
 
There are some... unorthodox projects at certain Russell Group institutions.
I just hope mountains are not made from molehills such as this.

TBH i'm not that trivial.
I saw that people where bored and fed up of depressing threads clogging up the works so decided "what the hell" and made this so that all the news topics can be put here as a pose to in your face.....if people use it, fair do's. if they don't, i don't mind in the slightest, its not like i'll be popping my head in here much anyway
 
I like threads for each news better. This way I can choose what I want to ignore or not, in any case the community chooses what it wants.

Personally I like 'Father Christmas Buried in Ireland' best today.

Why does that make me laugh so hard? There's something about the wilful destruction of naiveté and innocence which is so cruel and unfair but also just so hilarious.
 
I like the octopus one it just goes to show you some things are more intelligent than you would expect. Put up against your average Chav they may even be able to beat them in a problem solving test.
 
But would that display of intelligence result in us giving octopodes basic human rights, or deciding it's all right to eat chavs?

Well it might cost us less in tax to pay housing benefits to chavs if we expected them to make do with coconut shells as shelter. :p
