ok so im getting really ****** off with my managers and the fact they give no notice at all or untill the last minute at work for when are shifts are,,,

any1 no what the law is on this matter or if there is any at all...?

Well bein a manager here's soomething you could say if your doing in excess of 20 hours a week: its a violation of the working time directive.

48hours weekly for those in a perm position.
20 hours for students. (i believe you are still in education?)
their the laws in the UK anyway,

on the short notice thing....you could have a quiet word with your manager saying that the short notice their giving is making covering the shifts a large liability, as sometimes you won't be available and they need to understand that.

hope that helps.

Do they have citizens advice places in Ireland?
If they do try giving one a shout, if they can't help at least they should be able to point you in the right direction to further your search.

I would assume their number apears in the local phone book. If not I am sure they should have a web site with local offices listed.
