Ah ha!! I bet y'all are wondering what I mean by the title. Well if anyone bothers to read what I put in "What im doing now" thread, then you'll know my Living Room TV is having trouble getting on with the TV, and Dad seems to think its f*cked. Now to get it replaced, we need to send it off so they can go "Yep, this TV cant be fixed" and he doesnt want us to have to wait that long on a **** portable. So what we're gonna do, is buy a new TV from a better make (Probably Panasonic 32" HD ready, basically same as the doomed one, but the doomed one is Bush). So this leaves us with a 32" TV that wont play the PS3, my 19" HD ready TV that can also second as a PC monitor, and a rather chunky old PC monitor.

The plan is, he's gonna buy the New TV for the living room, and send the Bush one back to get repaired new. When it comes back, he's gonna let ME HAVE IT!! :D Then my TV we're gonna use as the PC monitor (We've been meaning to get new for AGES) and we throw out the old useless chunky thing.

Is that not a stroke of luck everyone?? From 19", to 32", AND IN MY ROOM!! :D

Sorry, I just had to share that. Only problem is, after getting the New TV, even though its on sale, I think we're gonna be living on Toast and Beans for a while

I'm surprised people here don't seem to have a TV in any room of their house as I've seen somewhere else... Most families have only one at the living room (from the places I've visited so far)

good. when I used to have a tv on my room, I've noticed that my sleeping habits changed.... I've slept less and less every day... =P

Haha. If I work it right, I may not even have to get outta bed bar toilet. (I have a mini fridge thats never been used lol)

I've got a 32" HD set in my room (Planning to upgrade to 42" set now I have a job and can afford such luxury). It's really nice so long as you have something that can show stuff at the right resolution...currently my anime is being streamed over the network to my 360 (which is why I avoid MKV and mp4 like the plague) and looks very nice.

Only problem is that I seem to have lost the remote to my stereo....ah well....such is life.

Haha. Looks like there may be second thoughts. Which is a bad thing but, ah well. Cant blame me for hoping lol.

can anyone recomend a nice HD telly for a bedroom? I have seen some nice deals on ebuyer, but I could do with one with ok speakers, and a headphone socktet so I can play games at night when my room-mates are in bed

The speakers on all HD TVs are much of a muchness....and by that I mean they SUCK.

Most high-end TVs assume you have a decent amp to play stuff through and give you speakers they've had stockpiled since the 80s that previously only saw the light of day in the rear of old Rovers and Citroens. Almost all have headphone sockets and it's how I get the sound to my stereo without having to buy an expensive amp (The stereo gives a decent sound and I've nowhere to put a 5.1 setup)....if you look on ebuyer the specs should tell you if it has a headphone jack anyway.

Samsung and LG are two good brands who make excellent HD TVs.

Check out the back of What HiFi Sound And Vision for some of the results of their older tests, see what what looks good and see if you can get it at a good price.
