On the plus side, if you do enter it, win it, and the discs are defective, at least you didn't pay Manga Entertainment any money for them.

Also, we have yet to see how MangaUK do resolve the issue. Be it disc replacement or otherwise.

You clearly don't play enough RPGs, or you would realize that "Luck" is an important skill just like "Intelligence" or "Dexterity".
 
Since there's no replacement program I wonder if Manga will replace any discs given out as prizes or are you stuck with the faulty disc since it's a freebie anyway?
 
Manga Entertainment has just announced this on Twitter:

...If you've won a competition for P&S that was run in conjunction with Fetch Publicity, you will NOT receive the faulty version of P&S. ^JG

As AUKN deals with Fetch, it looks like these discs will work.
