Godhand
this is an E,G as some of us know the creator of naruto as a kid was bullied and he was all along and he had the inspection to create naruto and some people relate to naruto being alone cause loneliness can be horrible the during the course of the series he makes friends and he feels that protecting his friends is important.
goku taunt us to never give up and so on.

but what anime inspired and attached to you
mines dragon ball z
naruto
pokemon the old show not the new crap

Hiromu Arakawa's "Fullmetal Alchemist" manga (and of course, the Brotherhood anime). Things like the law of equivelant exchange, and when Father says "Truth deals humans just despair so they do not become conceited" (well, something with the same meaning. Don't expect me to remember it 100% xD).

He was? For the logs included in the Naruto Manga, Masashi Kishimoto seems to have had, on the contrary, a pretty happy childhood.
i read it from somewhere on the net and i thought........... now it makes sense why he created a character like nauto and garra how loneliness is a type of suffering in this world

Anime which have inspired me include:

* Neon Genesis Evangelion - The first anime series I ever watched. Wonderful ideas and it made me want to watch more anime.
* Gurren Lagann - Funny, dramatic, and with a great story line.
* Hetalia - Because it showed that Japan is willing to make fun of topics that you would not expect them to cover (i.e. the Second World War).

yeah i like that series Neon Genesis Evangelion was like OMG i want more

Inspire. Easily the 'trilogy of madness' - Serial Experiments Lain, Haibane Renmei, Paranoia Agent. Those three STILL have me thinking years on, and perhaps the proof is in the pudding - they inspired me to write a novel (I write anyway, but not usually like this) with some of the same themes. - Reality/fantasy. Madness/Sanity and of course, the eternal question of Why?

That's some inspiration for me! (Since I can rarely ever put a single point on any influence)

Paprika - Incredibly uplifting and a testament to the power of film
Millennium Actress - Melancholy but heartwarming in its own way
Paranoia Agent - A cautionary tale about facing up to reality and responsibility.

Go on, guess my favourite director =P

Do you have any short stories, Warmaster?

/goes to look up 'Haibane Renmei'

Nothing recent I'm afraid. I write fantasy, but am usually more of a conworlder - the fantasy world is as important as the stories themselves, and it is pretty grounded. The story I wrote which these things influenced me with has very little background, and is very dark and weird, not what I'd normally write.

As for Haibane Renmei, it is one of the most beautiful series around. A little strange, but then the best Anime usually are. The questions it opens up are very deep once you get down to it. But then, just about anything Yoshitisho ABe has got his mark on is slightly strange and very deep.

Except NieA_7, which is just great hilarious fun all the way :)

Perfect Blue also got me into anime as well :D

I freakin' love Perfect Blue. It changed the genres I watched and the way I watched movies. I just love the way Kon plays with realities and subverts expectation. The frequent "it was just a dream" sequences could've been cliché if used inexpertly, but the layer upon layer of double bluff was just fantastic, you really were losing your mind by the end of it =P

I only picked it up on a whim too because I remembered seeing the video in Tescos as a child and when I got into anime (sometime in 07-08) I was just curious about it.

I love all of Kon's stuff, and perfect blue was the first I saw. I really liked it, but it is one of those films which I love but don't rewatch much (Aka, Grave of the Fireflies) However I really got into Kon's stuff when I saw Paranoia Agent, which to me will always be his pinnacle. That said, Millennium Actress is really moving, Tokyo Godfathers is some of the best satires I have ever seen, and Paprika is just mindbogglingly clever and fun.

Such a shame he is gone.

Aww okay then; well if you ever write a short story that deals with similar themes I'd be very interested to read it! I'd be quite happy to give the story you just mentioned (with little background) a read! Depending on length it may be a while before I get to it with exams looming though :)

And I'll keep an eye out for Haibane Renmei; it sounds like my thing. Beautiful anime go down well with me; it's a shame, but my fussiness over art has stopped me watching so many older shows.

Haibane Renmei is only from 2002, so pretty modern. ABe's style is a little odd in Serial Experiments Lain, but Haibane looks great.

As for the story, it really isn't in a presentable state, but thanks for the comments anyway, nice to get them :)

Yeah the screenshots of Haibane Renmei look beautiful- and I have SEL, just yet to watch; but I definately will get around to it soon.

And yeah; I'm always happy to do some proof reading and give C&C! :)
