What do you think about "Maid"?

Now, many types of "moe" culture there.
Especially, "maid" is one of the most famous "moe" culture in the world.
Today, I heard first "maid cafe" opened in manila, fillipine.

Then I have an question. What do you think about "maid" ?
Of course it is not original meaning of maid, but one of the "moe" culture.
Espesically I wanna know Girl's opinion.
I think boys like it but girls dont like it very much because "maid" is the culture that consists of boy's desires. submissive,cute and moe.
 
I like the outfit, proper Maid outfits not those cheap ass roleplay ones you use during sex, but I personally wouldn't go into a Maid Cafe because of this image I get of girls being submissive, I find the whole "Master" thing a little too much for my liking, I don't think there's anything wrong with being cute though.
 
I like more traditional maids, and where it's used as part of the plot (e.g. Emma, which had awesome maids) but I don't really like how oversaturated with maids some parts of fandom have become. I think my limit was hit with the anime adaptation of Kore Ga Watashi No Goshujinsama which just irritated me from start to finish; it wasn't cute at all. Well, except for the silly lesbian one, she was ok.

It's more interesting to see characters which subvert the moe maid archetype. I'm watching Hayate no Gotoku at the moment, and I initially thought that Maria would annoy me from having seen her in pictures. She's actually quite cool though and one of the cleverer characters, which is a more fun take on the maid image.

I have deliberately never been to a maid cafe, nor to any of the gender-appropriate equivalents in Ikebukuro. If my friends ever wanted to visit one on holiday though, I'd understand (and probably leave them to it, and go shopping).

Not that keen on butlers either. Dominant personalities are more my type.

If those are "boy's" desires. I know for sure they ain't mine.
