What are the chances are for these to get licensed in the UK or even Region 1.

My main ones I really would like to be released in the UK are:

Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai
Ao no Exorcist
Hanasaku Iroha
Usagi Drop

and wouldnt mind these to be released.

Bakuman
Psychic Detective Yakumo

I can see the Usagi Drop and Ano Hana being ignored in the UK and even Hanasaku Iroha, but I hope not because I have really enjoyed of what I have seen from them so far.

What do you think will get released here or in region 1/4.

I can even see some of these being ignored and not getting dubbed but thats fine, as some anime do get released not dubbed (To Love Ru DVD).
Not sure if any has been released in the UK not dubbed.
Will be a shame as these are awesome series.

Can't see Yakumo getting licensed (it wasn't that great and has nothing to really appeal it to people... not that R1 licenses are always quality control central), everything else I don't see why not.

Ao no Exorcist has already been licensed by Aniplex USA and will be sub only if I recall so I somewhat doubt a Durarara will happen here.

As for AnoHana, I would love for that to be licensed.

Media Blasters have also licensed both seasons of Bakuman and confirmed that it will be a dub.

Glad to hear Ao no Exorcist has been licensed but if it's sub only I can't see it being released in the UK.

As Lawrence said Andrew is a big fan of the noitaminA stuff and I also can see Bunny drop getting a US & UK license in the near future.

As for the rest, if Anohana gets a US license from Funimation or Sentai then there is a chance for a license for that (my only problem is that it might suffer the fate of something like Clannad, since the series is also a big drama which might not suit Manga or Beez, best chance for that would be KazeUK)

However since Ao no Exorcist is being released without a dub (Beez could release it similar to a Durarara!!) and Hanasaku Iroha has around 24 episodes then these might be less likely so far.

If Beez do get Ao no Exorcist fingers crossed they dont screw up on the subs like Durarara, surely lightning cant strike twice, than again when it comes to the U.K. anime scene it strikes countless times.

Bakuman (media blasters), Ao no Exorcist (Aniplex USA) and Usagi Drop (Siren Visual (R4)) are already licenced.

Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai
Hanasaku Iroha
Best hope is Aniplex USA pick them up.

It's lack of dubs (no dub= only Beez can release it) or R4 releases that stops titles coming out here. Genre has very little to do with it.
Selling well in the USA also helps, which means shounen (esp fanservicy shounen) has better chances.

Beez screwed up with the subs? Well I don't have many of there dvds. Only Cowboy Bebop and I think Wolfs Rain was released with it and Gurren Lagann if my memory serves me well.

Well if theres a good chance for
Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai
Ao no Exorcist
Hanasaku Iroha
Usagi Drop

to be released in the UK, thats good as I haven't imported for a while. The last time I imported was for living for the day after tomorrow dvd.

Ano Hana and Usagi Drop should both get licensed due to Andrew's love of Noitamina (not that any of them seem to have been released yet).

Ao no Exorcist will probably get released if it sees a US dub. It's the kind of show that Manga generally quite likes.

The only real chance of getting Hanasaku out in the UK is if Funi licenses it for both here and the US.

Ok can someone clear this up as im abit slow but what do you mean by Andrew? I know Noitamina is apart of Fuji TV in Japan.

Andrew, the guy who works for Kaze.
noitaminA isn't just Fuji TV, the other producers of the show matter. In Anohana's case, that's Aniplex. That's why no one's picked it up, and it was a huge hit, so will be expensive to licence.

It's sub-only.
Unless it sells realy well and they do a rerelease with one, not happening.

If nobody calls dibs on AoEx soon here I'm R1ing it to support Aniplex putting it out themselves instead of it falling into the Viz vacuum.

A lovely UK company rep who hangs around here and shares nuggets of info with us as well as taking feedback. He started off here as beez_andrew:

But now he works for Kaze, so you'll see him as kaze_andrew. He's an outspoken fan of noitaminA shows and keeps trying to bring them here.

Anything is better than Viz at the moment. I have lost faith with them since they started screwing up with Naruto/Bleach box sets and Monster. Even Pokemon! lol It's great they released the first 2 seasons and the later seasons but wheres Season 3! :p
Not impressed with them.
