Viz announces Naoki Urasawa's Monster R1 Boxset

The MONSTER Box Set 1 will feature 3 DVDs/15 episodes (episodes 1-15), is rated 'M' for Mature Audiences and a RRP of $59.90 U.S. / $85.99 CAN. The DVD box set will also include an exclusive digital booklet, which is a digitized version of the original Japanese booklet.

No news of a R2 release just yet though.

I'm so tempted because an R2 set doesn't seem too promising at this stage. Thinking logically though, that's just too much for 15 episodes, even at the lowest price that I've seen it being sold at.

I'm desperate for a slightly bigger boxset of Monster. It'd be better if it was released as 3 sets.
 
I was going to get it, but I am not amazingly interested in it despite the hype. I will probably now wait for a special edition full box set and end up paying more than buying these smaller sets. That is if one gets made.
