Virus Alert upon accessing hotmail?

Is anyone else getting this? Everytime I log into hotmail (via web browser) to check my e-mails, I get Avast! going crazy on me telling me there's a virus on the page. I can't work out whether it's real or not; so don't know whether I should just avoid checking my e-mails. That obviously brings about its own issues.

Anyone else's anti-virus doing this too? It's on the "Home" page straight after you log in where it puts all those social updates (Birthdays n' ****).

Thanks!

yeah me and chaz have it on seperate pc's too

No problems for me, I use Norton, anything I find suspicious I delete, I've had several pieces of spam supposedly from UPS, it irritates me

Norton :D

"we notice your pc is virus free, do you want to download new viruses?"

"You have selected no, meaning u don't want too put you know you have to, norton will now begin downloading viruses for you"

To be completely honest, there's not much inherently wrong with a HP or Dell. They are just basic and easy, whereas Norton is incredibly ******* intrusive.

I use an Acer computer, but to be honest I would know if Norton isn't doing it's job because my PC would be wrecked by a Trojan or some **** like that

That's because Norton is a trojan. The bloody thing doesn't even remove itself when you uninstall it.

My only beef with it is the fact that it uses **** loads of resources when doing a full system scan, you got any suggestions as to what I should be using?
