Videogame Webcomics

I'm sure you've all heard of sites such as Penny Arcade, VGCats, CTRL+ALT+DEL and so on, they're all webcomics based on videogames in one form or another. While comics like Penny Arcade are more one-off strips on various subjects in the industry, CTRL has a continuing storyline. Regardless, they're all funny depending on your sense of humour. What are your favourite videogame related comic strips and websites? Which strip made you laugh really hard, or made the coke come out of your nose? Please do not post the comic itself in this topic, just link us to the page.

Here's a recent one from Penny Arcade about Halo 3

VG cats has been one of my favorites ever since a friend introduced me to this certain comic http://www.vgcats.com/comics/?strip_id=136 (NOTE: Don't read if you're a fan of Pac-Man :p )

I also frequent 8-Bit Theatre for its adaption of the first FF game, another comic website i found was cubetoons.com though the comics on it first appeared on IGN in the nintendo gamecube and Wii parts

The only comic I find truly amusing is Penny Arcade. CTRL ALT DEL just seems like a rip-off of PA to me, and I think VGCats gets too much praise just because it has an anime style (the only people I know to like it are anime fans). The comics often drag out too long and lack a proper punchline. Sure, they both give me the occasional laugh, but Penny Arcade is where it's at for me. I even have the books!

Man I'm jealous :p I remember seeing one of their first books in forbidden planet a while back and i'm kicking myself for not picking it. You're right in one sense, Penny Arcade is at the top of the heap of the web comics, and i have fond memories of going through their whole archive over two weeks.

Not really got into Penny Arcade. I've been reading VGCats since my friend showed me a couple of good comics, SW Battlefront spawn camper one and the face full of alien wing wong were a couple of the best.

I don't follow VGCats so much lately, most of thier comics aren't that good but occaisionally they'll make a really good one.

CTRL+ALT+DELETE on the other hand I follow closely, after finding it through the same store that sold the VGCats stuff I've liked it's humour. Partly since I share Lucas's sinicism, especially about the whole idea of tech support. :x
I have the books (third one a signed hardcover), most T-shirts, the animated series on DVD, A Zeke Plushie and a cap too, which despite saying 'one size fits all' is still too small to fit comfortably on my head. :(

While not ever breaking the forth wall to confirm it's based on a video game I do also read Looking For Group, which could be seen as a comic about an MMORPG like WoW. That can be pretty funny at times, especially at the start when the humour's new. It is starting to get repetative and the storyline seems to take precedence over the humour but I'll still catch up at least every couple of weeks.

VGCats is pissing me off these past few months, has anyone noticed that Scott just cannot be bothered adding a new comic each week anymore? Before he would update each week, rarely missing the schedule, now he's famous to the point that he's taking part in industry events instead of giving us a new comic. I know I'm ranting, but I like my weekly VGCats and it's just not there anymore. Oh well, luckily I still have Penny Arcade.

Godmode is ok
Ctrl alt del i follow but it's not really interesting
Vg cats can be good when the bother to add new comics.

8bit theater seems pretty funny :)

Ah yes, 8 Bit Theater is another classic, however I think it has been on the decline lately in terms of popularity. Probably why I forgot to mention it, that or I'm just forgetful.

Well im a huge fan of VG Cats and Penny Arcade but Ctrl Alt Del has really nosedived recently - focusing way to much on plot for my liking and being very sparse with the gags.
The only other one that comes to mind is Nuklear Power/8 Bit Theatre, its very samey and doesnt really go anywhere plot-wise but i find the characters hilarious (mainly Black Mage :p)

Anyways i wouldnt get so mad Nemphtis - these people are giving you entertainment for free here and paying out of their own pockets to do so. Its not like their sites are overcrowded with adverts either, and the ones that are have relevant ones which i actually click on every now and often. At least we're not bombarded with "click here to get a free ipod", uck.

Its not a comic but weebl and bob is a true classic if/when they decide to update. They've gone very corporate recently though with sponsored games and suchlike. Not too sure if i like it :(

PA's the only one that really does anything for me, but the site seems to dislike my computer, because hardly anything ever loads on there. =/

Been meaning to see if they were available as books, and apparently they are...so I just bought them.
