Would anyone like to share their thoughts about the voices actors/actresses that work in anime?I watch almost all anime with the original language track but I sometimes try out an episode in the English dub. I find that it’s usually the male VA’s that fail to do justice to their parts.But the thing that actually upsets me about the English VA’s is when I have occasionally decided to listen to a episode commentary and they just laugh and joke amongst themselves and often pretty much just take the piss out of the show. This last bit only happens when one of them suddenly remembers why they were doing this commentary in the first place. Admittedly they don’t have the same knowledge of the shows as their seiyu counterparts perhaps do, but this still doesn’t excuse their lack of respect for their, in a sense, employer. Glad I got that off my chest.
