So I've been playing Utawarerumono by Leaf, the PC version more accurately.

The game has been pretty interesting so far. It is categorised as turn-based RPG, which describes the battle system very well, but in reality it is somewhat of a visual novel, fights are pretty rare. It follows the storyline of the anime pretty closely, but obviously everything is more detailed. It has actually tried my patience, but I think the game is pretty decent overall.

Anyone else played it?
 
not completed it but yep, i have it

there's a battle version of the game out too, bit like the older day turtles and simpsons arcade games. which is also worth a looking

only reason people look down on it, is because of the h-schenes and when you get to that point, you'll start to notice differences to the anime
 
I enjoyed the game and the story, but I didnt really want to read too much into the h-scenes. I tried to escape a particular part...

I've only seen one h scene involving Eruru. But when the old hag died I thought 'Darn, now I'm not gonna see any granny action!' Ok, not really.

I think Aruru would be pretty, err, 'morally reprehensible'? Though why Kamyu? She appears to have a cleavage, or is there some other reason? :D

it's not that Kamyu is doing what she does, it's what she does he hates ;)

btw u using a translator or the little english patch? (i only care cause i helped work on the patch ;))

Rofl, exams are coming up and now I'm itching to find out about the whole Kamyu thing.

I am not using either of those. Zomg, translating that much text 'out of altruism' sounds like a bloody nightmare.
