UK release dates for Ghost in the Shell: SAC

Play.com have posted release dates for the six remaining DVD volumes of Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex (from Manga UK). The next (2nd) volume is set for 21st February while the last is planned for way off on 17th September.<ul><span class=menu><li>Stand Alone Complex #2: 21/02/05<li>Stand Alone Complex #3: 21/03/05<li>Stand Alone Complex #4: 11/04/05<li>Stand Alone Complex #5: 13/06/05<li>Stand Alone Complex #6: 15/08/05<li>Stand Alone Complex #7: 17/09/05</span></ul>We have updated our release schedule accordingly but keep in mind these dates are subject to change at anytime.

Yeah, I'm glad we actually have an idea for the Manga UK releases now.

I would dearly love for MangaUK to actually start releasing a little more though, seems like they have nothing lined up for 2005 except Stand Alone Complex (and I guess possibly SAC 2nd Gig too). I don't see why they can't work like ADV and MVM and just sub-licence stuff from the likes of Geneon.

Money-wise, they must surely still be making the most profit out of the UK distributors. Just looking at the Play.com anime 'top sellers' reveals a load of Manga DVDs and just one or two ADV/MVM releases. Though the Eva Perfect Collection is doing well, cracking the top 5 and all.
