Black Cat huzzah. Will we know at the expo when the release date will be?

I'm sure MVM will be able to give you an approximate month.

On a related note, it's great to see they are licensing mature anime like Berserk and Ergo Proxy. They have a good eye for a TV series and aren't so afraid of taking a chance on shows that won't immediately capture interest.

I'll be checking out Ergo Proxy on the artwork alone bu it's great to hear Berserk's release officially. Great news indeed!

Lets see, that's Black Cat as good as a wasted licence, can't wait for Madman's releases of that.

Beez disapoint me with that "Reboots" line and making me think they got the rights to Reboot.

Beserk...gawd, to go to people like that, tisk tisk tisk. This also worries me as Media Blasters could get too friendly with MVM and try to release Voltron over here whilst ignoring GaoGaiGar which would totaly suit thier MO.

i'll be wanting to see if there is any approx date for the Berserk release, its one which i've been wanting to see here for a while now. So hopefully i'll find out on saturday whats what.

I definately want the Black Cat manga from MVM as I loved the anime series, and from all the priase Berserk is getting I might also invest in that too

There is a screening of Full Metal Alchemist: Conqueor of Shambella Movie, at Cineworld 6PM there.

Might go to see, even though never got around to watching the entire series'.

More good news everyday : )

MVM are doing a fantastic job with these boxsets I must say, they're using Madman's boxsets it seems, which is great, I can't tell if Madman use Geneon's artboxes as releases, but if they are doing that's great, let's hope Geneon do a boxset form of Gankutsuou because their volume 1 + artbox is out of print now, which some people think could mean they're getting ready for a collection.. slightly off topic.. but it could come here : ).
It's a bit of a shame that Revalation are doing FMA now, because Madman released 2 series boxsets for it, which I doubt we will get the chance to see now unless Funimation bring one out..
Anyway, MVM's confirmed releases are fantastic, and when they're all released we might even get a box set for them all sometime next year : )!
Beez have done brilliantly as well on the box set front, just a matter of time before they release 2 boxsets for Roots.

Just got back from the Expo, where a few details about the above was revealed.

Berserk vol 1 will be released in September, along with a Samurai Champloo Box set. No date for Black Cat though, although October seems likely.

Beez are planning an LE containing a European exclusive key ring and the soudtrack CD for .Hack//Roots.

ADV revealed announced that they plan to release Utawarerumono, Innocent Venus, 009-1, Kurau: Phantom Memory, Welcome to the NHK and Pumpkin Scissors this year. Alongside the already solicited Shadow Skill and Pani Poni Dash. They're also planning in releasing lots more box sets (2 a month).

In other news, several TV channels have expressed in interest in showing anime, Inuyasha has sold less than 500 copies (someone during the industry panel didn't know it had been licensed) and the industry panel all believed that Death Note and Bleach will be licensed soon. Viz have been promoting them aggressively to all the companies, between this and the Simon & Schulster manga deal they've started taking the European market seriously.

I'll post about ADV's download plans in a seperate thread.

Is Berserk being released in a boxset or in discs seperately?

Also, all great news. [Ugh, Death Note]

Might pick up some of those ADV titles soon upon release, possibly the boxsets too, just gotta see what's on offer first.

Seperate volumes. Sorry I though that was obvious, so I didn't specify I've edited my post to clear up any confusion.

I would love to see Death Note get picked up for Channel 4's friday night line-up. The show fits there brilliantly.
