TV Schedule

SciFiBoy!

Great Teacher
well, i know theres a thread whenever an anime film is shown, does anybody have or know where i can find a schedule for anime on UK tv channels?

failing that, does anybody know whats on and when, so we can atleast put it in this thread, or do like a weekly schedule thread, so people know.

Well,from what I can remember Naruto is on at 8:30pm(for the timebeing)and the Cowboy Bebop+Ghost In The Shell re-re-re-re-re-runs are on showcase tv from 4am.Hope that helps ^_^;

This is all off the top of my head--so I can't vouch for its accuracy--but I'll try and add times as I find them.

Jetix
Naruto - Jetix
Dinosaur King - Jetix
Pokemon: Diamond & Pearl - Jetix

Cartoon Network
Bakugan Battle Brawlers - Cartoon Network

Kix
Medabots (and its sequel, Damashii) - Kix; Showcase TV - 11:00 PM
Spider Riders - Kix; Showcase TV

Pop Girl
Mew Mew Power - Pop Girl

Showcase TV
Cowboy Bebop - Showcase TV
Ghost in the Shell- Showcase TV
Medabots (and its sequel, Damashii) - Kix; Showcase TV
Spider Riders - Kix; Showcase TV

Nicktoons
Yu-Gi-Oh: Duel Monsters - Nicktoons
Yu-Gi-Oh: GX - Nicktoons

CITV
Yu-Gi-Oh: 5Ds - CITV - 4:30 PM (Most days)
Pokemon: Diamond & Pearl

Edit 1: NHK World
imagine-nation - NHK World - Wednesday; 8:30 PM

Some of these disappear then come back. ITV 2 used to be a dark horse, airing things like Transformers and Cardcaptors quite a while back. Channel S--814--aired Samurai X (Rurouni Kenshin) a while back, so it might also be one worth keeping an eye on.

If you have Virgin Media, their On Demand service has a few odd anime shows like Bakugan as well as the entire first Robotech series.

If you look at the listings for Monday--Thursday next week, it should be back in the 4:30 PM slot.

I'm confused does nhk have anime on it?

Not exactly, the closest you get is a show called imagine-nation which is a show that shows different anime, manga and games. (normally the first 5 mins runs down diferent shows as there is main theme and a creator interview for the rest of the 30 mins) for example a couple of weeks ago the main theme of the show was Higurashi: When They Cry. It shown clips from the games, the anime and even had a bit on Umineko no Naku Koro ni.

Last weeks main theme was Kinnikuman the show that preceeded the show we know as Ultimate Muscle in the west. Showing clips from the manga, anime and even a life action wreslting event from japan

They mentioned it as what the creator was working on now and it did mention that the anime was starting or started as the case was. Showed some of the Umineko game though. Still nothing really enlightening.

Got to say the character design work improved a lot from the first higurashi games to what they are now.

EDIT: Like the avatar Retro, Maria is one creepy kid :p

Currently, I'm not sure. in the past, yes, as 12 kingdoms were aired there, as well as Cardcaptor Sakura.

Chaos we don't have the same NHK channel as the japanese, this one is more news and information based then entertainment (hence why its in the news and documentry section of the sky guide) but its not out of the realms of possibility i guess for them to start showing anime.

Do those not pertain to NHK in Japan, rather than NHK World--over here-- specifically? NHK World's stance has historically been that they won't air anime, based on the responses that past inquiries have produced, that is; they've been quick to point to imagine-nation as a supplement.
