Touno Mamare’s fantasy-adventure novel series, Maouyuu Maou Yuusha (Archenemy and Hero), is to receive a TV anime adaptation

 
 

Synopsis

Humanity and demons are at war. Our hero Yuusha overcomes a long and treacherous journey to get to the castle of Maou the Demon Queen, and put an end to the war. However the queen of demons argues that through the war humanity has become united and forced to improve their lives, technology, and society and if the war were to stop then humanity would turn in on itself in a civil war. The hero is swayed by her words and agrees to work with the Dark Lady. 

The light novel series began life on the 2channel forum but since then it has been picked up by Enterbrain and received five different manga adaptations! Pony Canyon are producing the anime.
