Tsubasa and Solty Rei

Yes, both good Tsubasa especially if you're a fan of the CLAMP ladies.

Didn't like Tsubasa, but enjoyed Solty.

Solty starts off generic Gonzo, but gets really good by the end... Nice to see a mature lead character.

I didn't rate Tsubasa personally, it was pretty middle of the road adventure stuff, didn't do half as much with its premise as it could have. The irony is that I love the xxxHolic anime, which is the flipside of Tsubasa.

The actual irony is that when it comes to the manga, my feelings are reversed. I enjoy Tsubasa, but find xxxHolic to be dulll.

Tsubassa is a terrible adaptation, that changed critical plot details, and isn't consided cannon to it's following OVAs as a result.
As a CLAMP fan I say avoid like plague except the OVAs (which aren't out in the UK)

Also, if importing is a no-no for you, be aware that only Season 1 of Tsubasa made it to the UK. Season 2 will have to come via the US or Aus or whereever...

I've never understood this sort of question. Why not put a disc in a see what you think? You've already paid for it so you have nothing to lose.

Whilst Tsubasa does definitely have the problems people have highlighted, I still enjoyed watching it.

Solty Rei seemed aggressively bad, so I didn't watch it.

Just Passing Through has dropped down a rung on my awesomeness ladder for not liking the xxxHOLiC manga, though. D:

I'll take that risk... I just found that the artwork of xxxHolic distracted me from the story. I may give it another try now that I've seen the anime a few times, see if that changes anything.
