Tomb Raider: Underworld

Tachi

Mushi-shi
Hi all,

have been playing this for afew days now and have found it a real improvement on the other titles. the levels are well thought out and beautiful. the gameplay itself is the typical puzzler/action, adventure but excellent in its own right.

i'm on the mayan calander part and its stuck....if anyone knows how to sort that can you let me know?

cheers

I'll have a go but.. How do you mean stuck?

On either side of the arena there are 3 rings on the floor, a pivot to move the middle and inner ones round in a circle and a slider to engage/dis-engage the inner one.

Move the pivot untill the emblem on the middle circle lines up with the outer one, use the slider to disengage the inner circle, use the pivot to line up the emblem with the other two and then use the slider to re-engage it.

After you engage the second set, you only have a a short amount of time to get to the entrance, so make sure you parked your bike in a handy place. ( If you want the achivement, if not, just jump down and leg it. - Provided the fall dosn't kill you, but I havn't tried that so I don't know for certain. )

But before you can do that you need a couple of things...

For the first set you need the Jackels head ( Or what ever its called ) to activate the pivot, you get it from the ruins before you get to the arena.

For the second set you need the skull to activate the slider, you get this further up the path after activating the first set of rings. You need to go through the tunnel that faces the arena entrance and get it from another set of ruins.

right i've already done all of that...what's got me stuck is i alligned all the calander circles....and aparently it jumped out of place....and the help thing on the pda said to go to the flat side of the arena and reallign said calander.....yet i get to the handles to turn and adjust it.....nothing moves, won't budge at all.and i've gone back and forth accross the arena trying to move the calanders...neither move. after alot of searching the arena and looked round and can't find a way forward :/

yeah but the 2nd save did the same thing
the only other save i have left is the first level. and tbh if its a glitch and i have to start using the first levels save i'm not going to play it. mexico is level 4.....forget going through all that again because it screwed up.

*walks off and turns cod5 on*

Hmm, bugger. :(

I thought it created new auto saves as you went along, at the start of each level and so on...

Just did a quick search, hopefully these will help. :)

i'll take a look when i get home (can't watch youtube vids at work)
i've searched my problem on google and found a website listing all the glitches and problems with the game.....its got an awful lot...i've found out that this is a common issue that can't be resolved easily....i have three choices
1 is to start the game again
2 is to load the game excessively in hope it registers (have also switched discs so cod5 is in the ps3 right now...i know that some games play up if they get dust on them and are kept in the console)
3 is to open up the menu and see if i can restart the level from the beginning and hope it doesn't do it again.

i will say this about this game. It's about time lara got back to raiding ******* tombs again! it's in the tittle! yeah this is a return to from for the series , really enjoying it.

Will hopefully be getting this for xmas, haven't played a Tombraider game before but the reviews and graphics blew me away so hopefully someone will buy it for me

I would really play both

TR : Legend and TR : Anniversary

first though, as it's a follow up and you could find yourself scratching your head wondering who's who and what the hells going on.

Of course, that all depends on if you can get them in the format that you have.

-EDIT-

I should also point out, that TR : Legend is the only game on the 360, I could be arsed getting all of the achievements for, I thought it was that good.

Anniversary was a pain in the behind. having to kill that black death spirit with excalibur. with a crap auto target system it makes it hard to do. and the camera is crap lol

To be honest, I never got arround to finishing Anniversary, as they'd ported the graphics from the PS2 version, it put me off alittle bit after the fantastic Legend.

Didn't spoil the story though as I'd played the original TR games.

i have started playing tomb raider since eidos lost the license and thank god because lara dosen't handle like a truck anymore! she is much better controlled now!

And i'd like to point out....Tachi had a back up back up save afterall lmao.

well i realised i had a save from the start of the mexico level....still had to find the skull and jaguar head...which took about 10 minutes to get both. then went to the appropriate calander and made sure it was 100% alligned....hell i wasn't going to let it have the satisfaction of beating me....so i matched up both calanders and drove round in a frantic effort to get there in time....did it :D

Now i'm just stuck on my bike, on some moving platforms.....not cool.

How far are you devil?
